I made a KSP Forums account just to say I love Precursors, and I'm excited to see what future updates come to it for KSP1! This mod is definitely a wonderful time-sink and with some very beautifully made planets. I've just started a career mode just now, and I'm having a blast with it already. Thank you for making this mod!

What mods should I use with this for the best experience, and I take it it should be played on science?

I highly recommend EVE (legacy version -- volumetric clouds are not supported) and Scatterer (most recent version). Precursors is an enjoyable using any of the gamemode options.

Did you make the- the- loading screen tip?

Spoiler

the one that says "ERRO2ERROR2ERROR2ITSERROR2OUT2ERROR2THERE"?

Also, is weather an actual game mechanic with this mod? Just curious, because that would be pretty cool. And can some of the things... described in the knowledge base actually happen to craft?

Frontier doesn't have oxygen, period...     try taking off your kerbal's helmet, the game will tell you it's not breathable.

A couple of things from your recent messages…

1. Frontier SHOULD have oxygen, at least in the most recent version of Precursors

2. Frontier should also have a white atmosphere. There’s a README.txt in the mod files that tells you how to get rid of the blue atmosphere (unless you like it)

3. All of the loading tips are by me…including that one

4. Icebound’s surface isn’t invisible in my setup (Scatterer and EVE Legacy). Check that all of your mods are up to date.

5. Weather is purely visual right now in the form of clouds and sheets of rain. Adding real weather to Precursors would be amazing, but unfortunately, it might not ever happen

Amazing planetpack, story and everything but is the lack of EL's (extraplanetary launchpads) metal ore a a feature? as i found it only on frontier but there is none on scar, echo, scourge, night (those are the ones i managed to scan yet) at least according to the survey scanners,Scansat and EL's inbuilt metal ore scanners.it would be nice to have the ability to build rockets off world in here

Resources are not yet a part of Precursors. However, I may add resource support as part of the upcoming update.

-Added custom terrain scatters to most celestial bodies

-Improved lore on some celestial bodies

-8K textures, normals, and cloud maps on Rage and Serenity

-Overhauled Solus' color map

-Overhauled Solus' corona texture

-Updated Solus' description

-Gave Maar an exosphere

-Added new loading tips

-Added new easter eggs

-Reduced the Scatterer atmosphere height on some celestial bodies

-Fixed the orientation of Icebound's normal map

-Fixed the "blue atmosphere" problem on Frontier (thanks to @Maximum Fruitcakes!)

-Minor config tweaks

-Other stuff

Future plans

-Volumetric EVE clouds

sorry for yet another question/comment but are the new surfance scatters colidable? and does any of the new features/fixes/changes require me to start a new save?

also i have a bug where are the planets are black in-flight (i after i donwloaded and deleted parralax). Even after reinstalling everything the planets still lack textures exepct for frontier ANOTHER EDIT i fixed the texture bug more or less but the terrain scatters are not present

The scatter effects on the atmospheres have disappeared, I have the dependency's installed and scatter, it looks just like the stock atmospheric textures.

This might not be the solution to your problem, but don't use any Kopernicus version after the January 16th, 2023 release. Precursors completely breaks on the newest version.

Yes, they have collision enabled. No, you won't need a new save.

Make sure you have terrain scatters enabled in the KSP menu first, and set all scatter settings to 100% / high.

I've walked on some weird bug which makes me unable to see some moons surface when im close to them, and when i land on them only part of theyre surface shows in black and white. But it happens only with moons without atmosphere, Icebound didnt show but Silence and Abyss worked. Did anybody notice same bug? It has been bothering me a lot.
