If you have the correct version/install of KSRSS, you'll have just one KSRSS-related folder ("GameData\KSRSS"). If you have anything else for KSRSS, 64k textures, etc - those are not compatible with the Reborn branch. And if you have something other than the Reborn branch, then I wouldn't expect the Cape to work at all. Both of these are github/gitlab installs, which means you'll download a zip file, and you must navigate within the zip file until you find the GameData folder, and that's your starting point. From the KSRSS master archive's GameData folder, you only want the KSRSS folder. From the Cape's master archive you only want the KatnissCapeCanaveral folder in GameData. Confusingly, there are two more folders (Modern, Retro) in the Cape's master archive GameData folder, but they do not belong in GameData. You should selected only one of them (or neither if you don't have MLP/etc, but don't use both), and copy the folder to GameData\KatnissCapeCanaveral\Instances. And of course you have to have a healthy Kopernicus install before you do any of the above. I do have a couple little cheat sheet images that I'll paste below. If your KSRSS install doesn't seem right, I wouldn't even bother with the Cape until that's working. Lastly, and this might matter and might not ... I do not use KSCSwitcher. I've had problems in the past with KSRSS + KK and KSCSwitcher, so I just don't use it. KSP thinks the space center is in Florida, which I want, and I can still launch from other launch sites. Hope something here helps. Spoiler

Mind sharing what you did to get it working? I'm having a hard time trying to uncover what's wrong/missing with my installation. Sometimes no launch pad is loaded, sometimes Cape Canaveral is underwater. **EDIT** Found a fix!!! (TL:DR): as mentioned before in this thread, issues in .cfg files .zip where in /Instances the @body addressed is "Kerbin" makes the game not load properly launch pads and the cape itself . Renaming all "Kerbin" fields to "Earth" in /Instances, installing KSSRS Earth Homeworld file from here and USING KSC Switcher solved for me. My first problem was that even with every dependence properly installed and with KSRSS working perfectly nothing loaded. No Cape ground mesh and no new launch pads. KK Ctrl + K didn't (and honestly still doesn't) work properly too. After wandering through the forums and /gamedata folder for hours, I tried, as someone kindly suggested in this thread before, renaming the "Kerbin" fields in .cfg files for Modern /Instances file to "Earth"; that fixed the Launch Pads not loading into the game. But then, they were floating in the ocean, and KSC seemed to be very far from them. So I tried to install KSC Switcher (again) after other users didn't recommend it. But that fixed the distance issue. So one more to solve: mostly of Cape Canaveral was underwater. I couldn't exactly figure out what file(s) was causing this, but reading the files for EarthHomeWorld branch of KSRSS, knowing that the problem likely was around this "Earth-Kerbin" mismatch in .cfg files and seeing that every proper field in .cfg file was correctly addressed as "Earth", I gave it a shot and installed it. And Voilá! Cape Canaveral in its full beauty! One more problem that I had was that I'm using AtmosphericBeats for Volumetric Clouds port for KSRSS. After solving Cape Canaveral issues, Earth didn't have clouds. So I went to GameData\AtmosphericBeats\EVE/Clouds.cfg and renamed every @object field whose "name" field was Earth but "body" field was Kerbin to Earth as well. Solved. Cape Canaveral working with beautiful Volumetric Clouds Hope this helps someone. Edited March 2 by DownloadTRUMP
who cares
Is there a fix for the KSC decal and default KSC being in the ground and all the launch sites floating in the air? I'm using quarter scale SOL
PILOTCRAFTER
I also seem to have the problem, where the default KSC is on the ground and the launch site is floating in the air. I also use KSRSS Reborn default settings as shown here

I followed what you did, downloading KSRSS EarthHomeWorld, but there's an ugly piece of land that goes over the rail between the VAB and the Launch Pad. Also, i know KSRSS Reborn used to work with KatnisssCapeCanaveral, do you know why that it no longer the case?

Have you tried setting your terrain texture up to max. in the main menu (can't remember if that's the right name for the config)? That's the only thing I can think of that could be related to this issue. Didn't happen to me. Other than that, I'd suspect of other mods that make use of Kopernicus and/or Parallax, but that's just a guess. PadocaWins Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:34 AM After doing a clean reinstall of the game, I followed every step you told us and still didn't get it working Only solution I found was playing with the EarthHomeworld branch and doing what I said in a post above
