If you don't want to be scared, no. If you want to be scared then yes. the song slowly deteriorates to show what it is like to have dementia(not musical memory but like what happens to other memories) it has stages 1-6 which represent stages 2-7 of Alzheimer's disease.

"listened to" didnt seem appropriate. it was a recorded performance with subtitles. really makes opera watchable. 

i suppose i could try playing it on my guitar, downtuned of course with full crunch. of course i never developed callouses, so my fingers would be bleeding by the time brunhilda meets siegfried.

Oh yeah, I've heard a bit of it. Pretty darn spooky stuff, but you usually forget (pun intended) about this kind of thing eventually.

I skipped through too, but I get scared of Minecraft caves on peaceful so I guess I probably have it amplified on me

i always thought the little freakout sounds in mincraft were a clever bit of sound design. a lot of games skimp on the atmospherics. quake had a good ambiance soundtrack that complemented the game, but it was just pre-recorded music and not event driven. freespace had event driven music but was not really ambiance, the tempo just picked up when you commenced a fightin'. after that sound design became somewhat of an afterthought, a solved problem that was best left to sound artists. minecraft is a programmers game, so its nice to see that they can use sound creatively despite being code monkies.
