Lost followed threads?

The last time I played KSP (last May) I had posted in and subscribed to several threads regarding mods, and I frequently visited the site via a bookmark to my followed threads - https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/followed/

However it seems that all of my followed threads got wiped? The threads themselves are still there, just that I'm not a follower of them anymore.

Did something happen with the forum or followed threads the past year?

I still have followed content from 4-5 years ago.  I don't recall hearing much of anything like that recently.

That's odd indeed. The forum doesn't have anything that purges user's settings if they are inactive? It had been over a year since I logged in.

It could depend on the thread.  If you followed a couple of big mod thread, that could explain it.

There's a quirk in the forum software during thread merges.  It's possible that when a smaller thread is merged with a bigger one, say when someone posts a question about a popular mod and we toss it in with the mod's thread, all the followers are lost.  The issue has been reported and we have a way to try to prevent it, but it still happens.
