I am blown away, honestly how? I am fairly new to building with stock parts but don't have DLC, is this largely accurate due to the DLC?

I'm not the plane's designer, but DLC is a tiny factor here. The plane looks so detailed because the designer is using 395 small parts to carefully sculpt an artwork. For example, the canopy glass looks like 20+ parts instead of relying on a standard cockpit.

DLC is for some small parts, like the pod beneath the air intake and the attachment rails under the wings. Just gotta get creative with the small pieces, and use other parts in unconventional ways. I try not to get too crazy so the craft is actually fun to use, but some specific models I like to spend more effort on :)
