But all loadings ( VAB, Space Flight Center ) in the game on my PC end in a crash for me even with alt tab(except for the save file from my laptop). I did get past this point yesterday once, and flew a short mission, but today I'm once again completely stuck. My son, who has the same laptop as I do, is also stuck in exactly the same point. This is deeply frustrating. For reference, these are Asus Aspire 5 laptops, upgraded to 32 GB RAM, otherwise pretty low on the specs, but it did work for me yesterday, and not today. I am still posting this info, because it might not be hardware-related, and it might help them narrowing it down, maybe even improve for weaker machines. Everyone's experience here is incredibly individual. Let's be honest, the game does not look like its requirements. The game just doesn't work. Lordiak Posted February 26, 2023 Share Posted February 26, 2023 i created a secured win10 partition (so the dirt doesn't infect my data) and tried it in parallel on it. The application runs much more stable here, hardly any crashes but the performance is very bad. Will have to try a new graphics card soon.....yes the game will get even better.... in some years I guess I'll have to wait while others are already allowed to play, very disappointing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In Ksp2.log, I often get this error in the period where the game is stuck: Invalid pass number (N) for Graphics.Blit (Material "(Unknown material)" with 1 passes) ("N" can be any number between 2 and 11, so I believe that this is because 1 is the only valid pass number, whatever "pass number" means) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Harley522 Posted February 26, 2023 Share Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) I also got the exact same problem when I load in the game, but for me, I tried to open ksp2.exe as admin and it successfully load in the first time of every new installment (I downloaded it again). It also loads sometines for whatever reasons, but for the most time, it is keep on crashing. It is so inconsistance of when it will load and when it wil crash. You should give details about your setup (CPU / GPU / RAM), send in your Player.log file so that we may have a better idea of where the game failed. It can be caused by a large number of things.
