You'll have to explain that to me. According to the chart there's around 1,500 active players recorded by Steam. How exactly is that "flatlining?"

That "flats" are missing data on the metrics. Now and them something happens and data is not fed to steamchats and so, instead of interpolating the data, steamcharts just plots a zero and call it a day.

On 2023-1016, 16:00 (unsure about the timezone), steamcharts plotted 0 concurrent players on KSP¹. But at 15:00 it plotted 1869 and at 17:00, 1946 concurrent players - so, that zero is obviously a glitch on the metrics gathering.

I'm fairly sure that, because I am old-fashioned and don't use Steam, I don't show up on these metrics anyway...

Ah. I got confused by OP's moniker flatlining and was looking for... well, a flat line. Didn't think he'd mean the single data point that was clearly a data acquisition issue.

It's actually seeing more activity than it did before in the last few months. In fact, it's doing way better than Juno which was supposedly gonna compete with KSP 1 and never had the launch day chaos KSP 2 had.

Compare to KSP 1 whose activity has remained the exact same, if not following a slightly downward trend.
