Research and Development Centre UI (tech tree) not scaling To Ultrawide Screen (3440 x 1440 and other)

Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes 
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X | GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (Gigabyte) | RAM32.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1333MHz (20-19-19-44)

 

When I go into the R&D center while playing on my native 3440x1440 monitor and resolution, the tech tree does not cover the entire screen. If it is not meant to scale (it should, though... just increase the distance between the nodes but keep the nodes the same size), then at least have it centered. Thanks!

OS: W11 x64 Pro | CPU: I9-13900k | GPU: RTX4090 | RAM32GB

On Ultrawide the UI is broken as the elements are not anchored  to the left and do not autoscale.
Even on a 16:9 screen if you play windowed mode and change the windows to a different wider ratio this also occurs.

Tested on 3840x1600, 3440x1440 and 2560x1080 Ultrawide
Also happening on Windowed mode with wider window settings.

Scrolling all the way to the right on a widescreen monitor (3440 x 1440) reveals KSC.

(excuse the brightness. windows snipping tool and HDR don't like each other)

When using 3840x2160 resolution, the background of the R&D page runs out of room and just shows the KSP center on the last/4th group of research nodes.

I have a display bug on the tier 4 of the tech tree (no problem with the other tiers). Tested several times with identical results. I can still select items.

Playing on a 5k ultrawide Oddessy Neo 49 inch. The science research tech tree screen does not line up correctly on ultrawides. It keeps a 1080p appearance and has clipping.

I experience the same tearing that @Urus28 reported, in addition to the KSC showing up behind the screen like many other posters.  I have also notice that many mod windows (Alarm Clock, Science Arkive, Micro Engineer, Flight Plan, and K2-D2) cannot go to the right beyond a point approximately 2/3's of the way across the screen which is where the cutoff occurs.

Note, that I have had this happen without mods, as I've only started playing with mods about 2 days ago but this effect has been there from v0.1.5 to current with v0.2.0.

Hardware, in case it helps show that this is platform-independent (looks like the above mentions were for Intel/nVidia):

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X

Video card: Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Resolution: 3840x2160

I noticed a few glitched when using ultrawide on the Research & Development screen.

Mainly :

  • There's a big gap between the left hand side detail of the item selected and the research tree
  • When scrolling all the way to the right the background image seem to over scroll and show the actual game behind it

On a 2560x1080 screen, the UI for research and development cuts off, shown in the attached image. I feel this could be easily fixed with a UI scaling script but then again, what do I know about game development.
