What does this mod do?

Zoomer brings back the old zoom and panning functionality from KSP1’s flight camera.

- Hold ALT and move the scroll wheel to zoom.
- Hold the middle mouse button and drag to pan.
- Press the middle mouse button twice to reset the camera.

Zoomer also hides part outlines when the UI is hidden.

Zoomer doesn’t have any affect on camera controls in the VAB, it’s only relevant to the flight camera.

I have previously been using this mod since it was release.  With 1500+ hours of muscle memory from KSP1's VAB it is a godsend.

Has anyone encountered this issue with "Zoomer"?

The camera frame resets after only depressing the middle mouse button once. The other features work well, but right clicking / middle button both reset the camera and it is super difficult to get the right perspective on parts of the rocket.

This seemed to be resolved by restarting KSP from the main menu, but later determined leaving the VAB and returning will also clear up the middle mouse mis behaving.

@Fizzlebop Smith I'm not sure what you mean as Zoomer doesn't do anything in the VAB, it only works in flight. And I'm not able to replicate any of the issues you described with reseting the camera. Perhaps you're confusing Zoomer with another mod?

Guess its something else. Had to resinstall zoomer
Thought it was Zoomer changing mouse speed and pan when in VAB

Typically i use the pan feature in map view and didnt catch the invert. My problem is not Zoomer
but
Something weird was happening occasionally.

VAB  will decide to hate me and both middle mouse and right mouse reset camera.
I do not know what the culprit was, once every several visits to the VAB would, it would break when loading into it.

This was not frequent but 1 time out of 20.

It could very well been flight plan, MNC, or KD2D2 or dependency.

Don't really know what was going.

I appreciate the mod, but it does not add any functionality that is already in KSP 2 and it does not replicate KSP 1 controls. Let me explain:

Currently you can pan left and right (AND up and down) in KSP 2 without mods by right clicking and dragging. This mod only allows you to pan left and right if you middle click the mouse buttons (but not up/down).

The old KSP VAB controls were:
- Scroll wheel moves camera vertically up and down
- Shift + scroll wheel zooms camera in and out
- Right click + drag pans the camera left/right/up/down

I was hoping a mod would add the old KSP camera movements to KSP 2 but this mod is not it. This mod adds completely different controls.

Can we please get the old controls back as described above? If people like the existing mod controls, maybe add a "KSP 1 style controls" checkbox to enable and disable the KSP 1 style controls described above.

Thanks :)

This mod is for flight camera, not for the VAB.

Absolutely crucial mod for me, thank you for finally restoring some KSP1 camera controls! I didn't realize how much I missed the panning feature until KSP2 launched without it.

Would love to see if there is any way to replicate bokeh/depth of field effects and other, more cinematic camera features that some KSP1 mods had too. I think that is a natural "next step" for increasing the beauty of this game.

Either way, well done. I'll never play KSP2 without this mod again.
