You could try the physics hold mod; it lets you set landed ships to on rails mode, similar to how it is in timewarp. It basically allows turning ships into statics. Combined with EPL it's pretty great. Even better, you can still use convertors and stuff on it.

Got a link?

Be aware that due to the hacky nature of this mod, it is likely to cause issues when used alongside other plugins. I also don't intent to provide releases on the usual channels (KSP forums, CKAN, Spacedock, Curseforge...).

Don't worry about it, I haven't seen issues with other plugins, and manual installation is fine for a few mods. If you really need CKAN to track it, you can make your own metadata repository. I've done that for my personal patches and stuff.

I'm nowhere near programmer-minded enough for that.

Actually pretty easy; I could make a repo and publish it with the tracking files, and then you just add it to a GUI in the CKAN app. But frankly, its one mod, just download it and put it in the GameData folder.

@Grenartia

I made a repo for it myself; all you need to do is open CKAN, go to CKAN settings, at the top press new, and add a new metadata repository with this link: https://github.com/ProgrammerFailure/PhysicsHoldMetadata/archive/main.tar.gz

You can then download physics hold via CKAN.

Thanks a lot!

If nothing like it currently exists, then from your mouth to God's ears, I hope someone with the expertise and ability to pull it off would make it.

Somebody with expertise is working on it. :) Check the KK thread.

Yeah, I noticed it when you posted it. I'm very hyped (and thankful) you decided to take it on.
