Mr. Kerbin
Hey, what would you guys think of a BINARY gas giant system between Anune and a new gas giant (Uranus-like, maybe called Solru) Poll is there. FTLparachute
Would this system have new moons besides Anune's current suite? I do like this idea (of binary) for the same reason I like BJ more than OPM: The Kerbol System is not very realistic (See Eve and Jool) and I think it's better to use that to explore unique concepts like this than just trying to make the Solar system again. EDIT: Gee I wonder who the other person who voted is? Edited January 5 by FTLparachute
FTLparachute
quick question - is this being done through Sigma Binary or some other way (i.e what Kcalbeloh did)

Mr. Kerbin
Solru is in, @FTLparachute’s Arrakis 1 is out(dated). (I still have to do the update…. So….) Edited January 6 by Mr. Kerbin

And for a while, too - i've got a bigger, greener fish to fry Since Anune - Solru is coming, what does that mean for Plad? Will it become Plad-Chau? No they will not have a barycenter body because, they are much closer to each other, and the barycenter is probably inside of them tbh and that would make a lotta problems. Kevin_kerman
yeah, that would NOT end well

Kimera Industries
If I can give my honest opinion, (taking into account what others have said) I think Beyond Jool is pretty good as it is. I would consider upgrading Elross to a gas giant (from what I have been able to figure out so far it is not, I'm still working on getting KSP to run). If you do go for a binary gas giant, make them different sizes- the closest we have to a binary system in real life are Earth and Pluto, and Charon and the Moon are considerably smaller than their respective parent bodies. Two data points are poor statistics, but it does suggest an overall pattern.

What am I to do with the Elross that already exists (textures biomes) And… B. Elross is a Eris analogue. (Loosely) I am, however, considering making it larger, as it’s not much bigger than Moho. They will be different sizes, just the same mass (simplicity) And thanks. It’s nice to know someone else appreciates my work. Kevin_kerman
Yeah for a binary gas giant its fine if their the same size but its more realistic when 1 is bigger than the other, the bigger one should orbit closer to the barycenter than the small one, and they have to have the same orbital period. Kimera Industries
With the new changes, a Jool-Sarkin-Elross chain appears to line up every ~270 years (bet you've never used the tilde key before). Hamis also seems to align as well, but differing inclinations mean taking a stop there isn't always the best move. The first alignment is around Year 115, the second is Year 390. The outer solar system- it's almost a debris field. Something happened here. Something big.

If Sarkin can push you anywhere, why not across the solar system to Elross? hmm time to make head cannon, I see Maybe “Mez” was real!!!
