Hejnfelt
I present the Titan. An exploration ship with 10.000+ Delta-v and a very capable lander with independent 3096 Delta-v fully fueled. On its maiden voyage we went to Mun, Minmus, Duna, Ike, Dres and back to Kerbin.Dres was by far the most difficult planet to get to. After Ike I still had 5000+ Delta-v left but after encountering and circularizing around Dres I was down to 2000. Barely enough to return to Kerbin.I had to break out the Google-Fu and learned about aerobrake nodes around Kerbin. On the return trajectory with only a few hundred Delta-v left in the tanks I aerobraked around Kerbin and achieved a ca. 100km parking orbit for the main engines. Barely I might add, as I was aiming for 200km...The last remaining fuel was transferred to the lander which burned it all for de-orbit, landing safely using parachutes. Kerbal01
What's that supposed to be? A hab module for a Mün/minmus mission?
KAO
pretty close, it's a hab/science module for a Duna mission!the whole mission is pretty tricky cuz I have to bring enough oxygen
OrbitusII
What I learned in KSP today:If it looks like it should be in an anime, it'll more than likely fly pretty well.

Also disclaimer: Yours won't look like mine, because I usually recolor parts so they match.

Shortsonfire79
Anyone have any screenshots of the "Toyota Corolla" Mun lander back from when the Mk 1 command module was still around? Basically anything with a Mk 1 module, a fueltank, same era landing engine and some legs? I was hoping to come here to check around the first few pages, but it seems like there was a wipe some time ago. :/

Hejnfelt
AMAZING! This is what I've been looking and planning to do for a while now! But how did you get that thing into orbit in the first place? It's not that heavy actually, "only" 125 tonnes. So I used a slightly modified heavy lifter I have, which can lift 160 tons into Kerbin orbit. I was thinking of lifting the lander and fuel/engines separately but it was stable enough with some struts to survive the ascent in one piece. If you're looking for help building heavy lifters, check out the Space Port http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/?s=stock+lifter&x=-1360&y=-
DeepSpaceDutch
Early prep work for the colonization of the Jool System. The first step involves putting a huge fuel depot in Medium Jool Orbit. Fuel Depot - Part A and Part B are now in LKO, docked with their Kerbin - Jool Transfer Modules and awaiting the window to open. When they arrive in Jool Orbit they will dock together to form the MJO Fuel Depot #1.Part A being launched using the biggest rocket I have ever made (took a few attempts and more than a few explosions, I felt very Kerbal throughout the whole process ), 498 parts and 1231 tons eventually worked like clockwork. Also I know now that my system can handle 500 parts without too much lag. Good to know and All Hail the Mighty i7!!After putting Part A in a 200x200km orbit it was time to launch the transfer module;Gently docking the two big craft;Afterwards I'm sending my trusty old LKO Tanker Mk1, the longest continuously used craft in my inventory, to top-up all the fuel tanks; While I´m giving Part B of the fuel depot the same fueler treatment the Kerbals back at KSC are very busy experimenting with a novel way to construct a Layhte base. They have built a massive construction rover with KAS winches in the "roof". The goal is too construct a large Laythe base with a relatively low part count. So the modules will not have wheels and batteries, only the center module will provide power. Bob testing out the new stairs;Surprisingly sturdy, this manouveur only needed two wheels fixed;A proud Bob beneath the hangar-like structure that is still lacking the winches and docking port;Version v1.1 now with winches and other goodies, ready for a test with Test Item #1;Ha!It works!!
