gamma_gandalph
The new Science Update really got me to get things done. Before, I have barely landed on Mun and Minmus. After two days with the new update, I landed on Duna and had probes at most planets. Some highlight pictures.First probe at EveFirst Duna Landing. Sadly, Jebediah didn't bring enough fuel......so this robot-rescue-ship had to come for him......it landed 5 km away from the first landing site...Finally, a way home! This one had enough to reach orbit...And with a second rescue mission, the first could be returned home. KAO
this was my 5th flight I think, first time going orbital. The North Pole is very pretty30-40 something'th flight, good thing I built an escape towerREALLY good thing I built an escape towerescape tower in use once again, and if you look closely you can see the debris field that was one Aelitis-
Camelotking524
I love my Cross Rocket. Payload is an Apollo style CM/SM and LM. Third stage has more then enough power after making orbit to put the payload into either a Mun or Minmus intercept. Now for the fun part. Apollo style Eve flyby.Too bad this launch was how I found out that you can't transfer reports and samples between command pods. Stock parts are not bad at all. astropapi1
Testi-qualifying a new CSM for a future Duna mission.Shuttle on reentry.bac9, you're awesome.*Sigh. Cancelled airliner design. My new Science!â„¢ sounding rocket. Gets to ~95km on a fully vertical flight path. It's fairly cheap, once that becomes important. We have *cough... underground fuel depots.VGer, well beyond Eeloo's orbit.7500kn of thrust and it barely gets off the pad. Feel tha powaaar! This. This is the essence of KSP.Let's play "guess the rocket". Lander had fuel-flow problems in the descent stage. I didn't want to trash the mission. Finally, a rather cinematic shot of a S2-B reentry.Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to dump my pictures somewhere Edited October 20, 2013 by astropapi1
MinerEdgar
Is the rocket a Delta IV Heavy?
astropapi1
Is the rocket a Delta IV Heavy?Maybe...I know they're all the same engines, but I couldn't throttle back the middle one. Had to resort to some clever engineering to get it working. S2 sep.S2 circularizing. The grey tank is the payload.

nhnifong
One of my favorite Kerbin beaches. It's in the river canyon northeast of KSC
allmhuran
I thought those canyons would be fun to fly up, but they're a bit too wide and not quite twisty enough to be a real challenge.

Whatshtisthis
So I modified one of the planes I was working on, and took it for a spin. Literally.

Tw1
Bill and Jeb have either got really mad at each other, or are just trying to freak out the rest of KSC's staff.By Gunfighting. Who's got the fastest draw on Kerbin? My "first" plane! Jeb and I like it. Sooo close.Yet so far..Sudden unplanned spelunking. Awesome. You cannot plant a flag under the VAB. It doesn't work. AceofPengwins
I really like how this also quite functional sciency lander turned out:Still had close to half of my fuel left in the landing stage when I touched down. Here's the return stage:this also had about a third of its fuel left over after returning directly from the Mun.All stock, I did use editor extensions to radially attach some parts. Next up: send it to Dres.

p1t1o
If you look at pics taken from orbit you will see that its hard to see stars. Are you kidding me? We can see the stars at night through 100km of dirty air, if you cant see stars in space (assuming Im not being dazzled by the sun or a light inside my spaceship) then I'll EAT. MY. HAT.I'd imagine that stars are quite often "washed out" of photos by other bright light sources.
RocketPilot573
I just did my first rescue mission is .22! There was a, um... "malfunction" in the rocket...Poor Wilcas Kerman was saved only minutes before the oxygen ran out.
