Yep.

We are pushing an update to the launcher today. Most notably, the launcher will no longer remain open or run in the background after you launch Kerbal Space Program.

We are also adding an optional PD Account login flow. This is in preparation to improve player feedback and for future features of Kerbal Space Program 2 like multiplayer.

That's weird. You don't stay stuff like that without proper announcements.

That's all wrong. The last registered patchnote is https://steamdb.info/app/220200/patchnotes/?all from july 2024

The last update was when they made the new private branch, which we also already knew https://steamdb.info/app/220200/history/

Is anyone else being prompted for an update to their steam  version of KSP1?

Reading the information it says it is related to the launcher? Is this a synch error on my end or is anyone else seeing a launcher update?

Oh, God... And now people will try to override it again on Steam, and all that nightmare on launching KSP from the wrong directory will happen again... :0.0:

Oukey, I fell for it. Just checked the original News timestamp and came back to edit this thing when I found the post below this one. :P

Really? Did no one even check the date? Or is the forum fried again and somehow replaying the topic that happened 2 years ago for me?
