HeadHunter67
While it's not Russian per se, I was able to use this pack to create a pretty good replica of the Chinese Tiangong-1 space station: Comm dishes from AIES, windows from Lackluster Labs. Not a perfect facsimile, but KOSMOS is the only mod pack that makes it remotely possible. Edited August 21, 2013 by HeadHunter67

khalidibn
Hey CBBP, I downloaded the pack yesterday and the file was corrupt. I re-downloaded today and it was corrupt again. Think you could check it and re-upload to SpacePort or mirror it somewhere?Cheers

CardBoardBoxProcessor
And while it doesn't look like much to look at right now. it is actually something rather cool when put into context. But I will not include context for now
MOARdV
And while it doesn't look like much to look at right now. it is actually something rather cool when put into context. But I will not include context for now It's a rocket! With a rounded bottom on the fuel tank...One thing I've noticed with these awesome engines - they heat up really, really fast, and I have to throttle them back to 80% or 90% to prevent overheats. Unless I strap them down with struts. A couple of struts to hold them to the engine mount, and I no longer see the "overheat" bar. The heat model in KSP is really quirky. And while I like the glowing orange of a near-exploding engine, I like getting those extra kN of thrust just a little bit more.

They heat up quickly, but they tend to hover just on the brink of exploding; never crossing the threshold...
CardBoardBoxProcessor
Happens to me too. I've tried pushing the envelope using single engines. They heat up quickly, but they tend to hover just on the brink of exploding; never crossing the threshold...Yes I always use strut connectors to attach engines. You can see what I mean in the image above. And that helps with heat. It is the main reason they over heat so much because I ALWAYS use struts and want to see some heating haha. it is a real shame how KSP heat works TBH. So my advice it to use 2 to 4 struts to tackle them down. The new struts are a lot prettier so it is no big deal. Plus it helps with rocket stability anyway. It's a rocket! With a rounded bottom on the fuel tank...Oh it is more than that.
Spica
It seems like Angara is slowly creeping back to life now, at least with the new engines. Thanks CBBP and the rest of the Kosmos teamSpica
Guest
Judging by the image name, it's a new Angara tank.
CardBoardBoxProcessor
Oh It is more than that. but not angara persay. Angara is more like 2.5m diameter. But the better part is it is a method that KW might be using as well Normak is better at explaining things. Kommitz
Procedural tanks? Also love the work that's gone into the pack recently. I don't usually like parts that are balanced 'realistically' but I use these fairly often just to do missions that look really good, your modeling and texturing are really great. Also also you do you have any recommended sites when it comes to getting reference images for Russian space program things? I've been looking for decent images of the RD-0410 for a while, but they're difficult to come across

It is really ugly lol. there is a youtube video that shows it pretty in depth.one reason the RD-0440 of the old pack looks more like a nerva lol. infact is a Nerva and thanks. the realistic nicness comes form them being blended between the two sizes. the 2.5m engines might seem over powered until you realize they fit 3m parts too lol.
