"One of them" :P I guess we'll see when thge update comes out, but it sounds to me as we'll see some new ones in game too.
But what would a Kerbal recruit do is the question?

Back on topic i think your Kerbal could have a shorter military style haircut like the Kerbonauts.

We're getting the astronaut training center in the next update, therefore astronaut recruits, no? :P
Oh yes i forgot this but is it really the next update? Sounds like a lot of stuff for one KSP update.

I think people may be just use to seeing them with 2D hair.

With the high end resolution work you are doing it seems more appropriate to have more detailed 3D looking hair.

yea most likely,

training kerbonauts???! lool awesome

shorter hair and now teeth!

Eye lids would be very useful for expressions, but normally I would suggest keeping them very small at the top and bottom of the eyes.

Then use them when needed to express certain emotions. Maybe experiment with small eyebrows too?

Well actually i've asked this question before when i was working on my kerbal show. (the answer is no BTW)

Along with how many finger joints do they have, what kind of money they use. i asked a lot of questions to make sure i was appealing to the right audience and doing it right.

There isn't much of a difference, now that you mention it, besides hair and number of eyes, between Kerbals and minions...

Two things.

First: You got post #666

second: Kerbal's are a bit more reptilian and don't have the eyelids like humans (they're species is complicated)

i've asked these questions before, and got some pretty good feed back (like what kind of creatures are kerbals, turns out they're cactus grGL61N.jpg

i've also asked about they eyelids and finger joints and lots* of other things.

i'm gonna have to disagree on the eyelids though. Eyebrows on the other hand.. maybe?

however, it's your art so you can do whatever with it (as long as it's within the rules of the forums)

Yes and I have also tried big bushy eyebrows on Kerbals and they can be pretty funny, but that might be best used for special characters.

Well now i'm wondering whether or not you want to to be a realistic render of the game, or something for good emotion... telling

for example: Animals with limited facial expressions (and sometimes people who don't use much facial expressions) use body language more.

So it depends on what you're going for.

i think more along the lines of despicable me rather than trying to go off the little information the game gives you,

also should i replace the black dot in the eye for a pupil and iris

Ah, i see.

Well with my animations i try and make it look about as the level (or a little bit higher) graphics and look of the game (except the parts, those are from the classic KSP.)
