Zedwardson
Kuston ....The eagle has landed.I just pulled off my first manned (Kerbaled?) landing on the Mun. I am on the mid planes and I really wish I could figure out how to build a rover that works. So far I had many fails in ground testing. It was designed originally to be a single launch system like Apollo, but the height of the the stack caused terminal oscillation problems. So I used my soyuz class rocket to lift the lander with a extra stage to dock with the command ship, and then went on my way to the Mun. Not bad for a week or so of playing, by far the hardest, most pain in the butt moment is docking.

coreross
I've made some escape pods, slight issue with navigation. But awesome
Blindblom
This. I did it. A docking. Most of you have already done it but the first docking. That feeling. This game is capturing my life and my feelings totally.
Tokay Gris
This. I did it. A docking. Most of you have already done it but the first docking. That feeling.Usually I hate to many exclamation marks. But in this case, you would have been entitled to quite a few.Congrats! Once you accomplished this, the Kerbol system is your oyster. What I did? I launched a mining research ship to Moho, staged another one earmarked for Dres and caught a class B asteroid.
cantab
Reviewing add-ons and trying to figure out why I cannot add Maneuver nodes when close to a planet and in a gravity wellThis can be a problem in the stock game, especially with hyperbolic (escape) trajectories. incal
Yesterday I finally went to another planet. I sent a rover with a skycrane to Duna, Curiosity-style. Tricky landing, however I got it right on the first try.The moment the rover touched down softly, and the crane detached and flew off, exactly as I wanted, I screamed from pure joy. The feeling is indescribable.I sent a science lab afterwards using the same technique (I love it). I'm now sending a return ship to get those precious samples back. Mischief
This. I did it. A docking. Most of you have already done it but the first docking. That feeling. This game is capturing my life and my feelings totally.Due props. It's funny; no matter what else you can say about people who play this game, we all remember our first clumsy, agonizingly slow docking. 'Oh! Oh! They're close! They're..... crap. Backupbackupbackup.... wait, left, left... crap, rotate not transfer! No no no NO NO! Bugger. Okay. Stop rotation, line back up, slowly... slowly.... wait... no no no no.... oh! OH! YES!'My wife calls it 'K****'. Eventually docking will be no big deal. Match inclination, match orbital path for a stretch, burn prograde until an orange or red arrow set matches, decelerate until you're very close, set docking port as target, RCS in for a snuggle. The first time though... yeah. Wait until you land a Kerbal on a planet outside Kerbins SOI. That's a trip. Wait until you do your first aerocapture in Jool - it's like finding a whole new system. Your first SSTO that lands and returns from the Mun - that landing approach, Kerbin will never look bigger and scarier to you. My best suggestion to anyone getting a little bored and looking to recapture that - Do a Career game with no use of quicksave/reload or restarts. Every time you kick off with a Kerbal in the cockpit your hands will sweat just a bit. You'll start re-checking your staging and you'll put parachutes on EVERYTHING. To OP, absolutely well done. Welcome to nerdville, this is why this thread is 700+ pages. Nobody else will ever 'get' why saying 'OH MY GOD! I DOCKED WITH ANOTHER SHIP!' is so awesome and exciting. Everybody here though? You just sent them all nostalgic.
Kerbonautical
Created the MSC(Minmus Space Centre)Which also has habitat modules for Jeb and other VIP'sAnd a lovely lounge for all the Kerbals to take a break from their enclosed spaces and stretch their legsHowever some of the pilots who have caused rather large incidents in the past required punishing so have been imprisoned near the MSC (complete with watch tower)And there will be no escapees as the only way in or out is through the IR piston controlled roof! sumrex
I always was intrigued by a special variant of the SR-71 that could launch spy cruise missiles from its back. I adapted the approach to carry landers and other items from my bread and butter SSTO.
Wooks
After a brief hiatus I´m back on track, and this baby is going down! I can finally land my giant pyramid / rover on Duna and place it where it belongs: The misterious face on Duna.
cantab
Added the first actual module to my space station. 4 Hitchhikers and a cupola for my Kerbals to hang out in. Had a bit of hassle getting it there, used an 8 ion drive section and it was my first use of ion drives so still getting a feel for them, plus two big batteries wasn't enough, I ended up resorting to RCS to finish one of the interception burns. Also found a weird bug when deorbiting the drive section. All controls seemed normal, but the throttle and speed indicators on the navball were frozen. https://flic.kr/p/nu2wK4
Robotengineer
Yesterday I made my first part mod, and learned a lot about unity and blender. You can download it in the Open part mod thread. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/78480-The-Open-Part-Mod-Week-2-Voting-Started%21Not very good, but every one has to start some where

ClearlySane88
I made my first ever burn to send a probe to another planet! Just need to wait another 90 or so days to perform another and get me to an encounter with Moho. I can't wait! Other than that, just some normal science gathering missions to the Mun and Minmus. I need to figure out how to perform encounters so I can finish up the space station I started on the other day though, that and how to place Station Parts, Landers, Probes, and Base designs on a rocket with a capsule without screwing up my liftoff. DeepSpaceDutch
I launched operation S.M.A.S.H, getting 2 stranded Kerbals down and putting a C Class potato in the dessert:The S.M.A.S.H craft has 8 chute-packs, each having 4 chutesPotato in sight! The big asteroid catcher has the 2 man lander can, but in the excitement of the ARM package I forgot to include any way for Jeb and Bill to come homeDeploying chute packsChute packs attached, long de-orbit burn commencingLuckily everything behaved friendly when I entered the atmosphere Yeah baby! I was quite nervous about the effects of the chutes openingDeploying chutes and ditching the S.M.A.S.H craftApproaching 500m radar alt, hopefully no xplosions when they deploy fully Mmhhh, crapHold on, we're still ALIVE!!Or are we??!!WE ARE!! Alfondoo
Just put 200 tons worth of Hydrogen into orbit around earth in RSS to see what I can get out of the NERVA's with Real Fuels Mod. Something is telling me I'm going to be disappointed.Yes those are 3.75m docking ports. The actual tank is 10m wide...
