OK, I'm a bit confused about the "ejection angle". I had thought it was the angle at which you wanted to be traveling when you left the Kebin SOI. But now I'm thinking it is the angle at which you need to burn in order to be able to leave on the course parallel to the Kerbin orbit?

Exactly. Check out the diagrams on Olex's interplanetary calculator.

Basically you always want to leave along Kerbin's orbit prograde direction (for targets farther from the Sun than Kerbin) or retrograde direction (for targets closer to the Sun). The ejection angle tells where you should do the transfer burn so that you're moving in the right direction when you exit the current SOI.

Can someone explain what does it mean "epoch"?

If you're referring to the "epoch" in "Mean anomaly at epoch", then the epoch is the reference time at which the mean anomaly is specified. It's a way to specify where the planet or body was along its orbit at some specific time, since this information can't be derived from the other orbital elements.

For KSP planetary orbital elements, I think the reference epoch is UT=0, and I'd imagine alexmoon used the same convention in his webapp.

Is it possible to download this? I don't always have internet access so it would be nice to have this on my PC.

anyway if downloading it is a problem (ie: you get some money from clicks on the site) just forget my question, I'll stick with the online version.

PS: I tried to "Save page" but didn't work

Kind of. There's an alpha (but with active development and technically usable, assuming it gets released) mod from TriggerAu that implements this in the game. Check it out. You'll have to wait for a release but hopefully it's soon.

EDIT: I was wrong about being wrong (I thought there was a release but then didn't see it), it IS released in a very alpha way. The post is here:

Can someone let me know exactly how I'm supposed to format the date for "Time of periapsis passage" when adding a new vessel body, preferably with an example? I've tried every variation I can think of to match what the placeholder text says, but the Javascript console keeps reporting errors parsing the format and there's no validation information reported back whatsoever for what I'm doing wrong.

Furthermore, is "time of periapsis passage" supposed to be just the time displayed for the next passing of the periapsis in the orbit screen, or am I supposed to add the time since game start as well?

Sorry for necroposting, but I'm having trouble getting this to calculate a launch window from Kerbin to a ship orbiting Kerbol. When I enter the details of the ship's orbit and then click "Plot", the button just greys out and I can't do anything with it. Even resetting everything doesn't unfreeze it.

Also, I noticed that if I go back to the custom orbit page, my value for the time to Periapsis has changed to "1/1 0/00/NaN".
