Vall is just an oversized Minmus. With a stonehenge.

Laythe is my favorite moon, it is the analog of my favorite moon in real-life (Europa), and contains oxygen. And water. Just like Europa. I love it so much I planted flags on every island claiming it for the United States of America. Because I'm an overly nationalistic American who supports international cooperation.

I'm hypocrite.

Er... the kerbal analog of Europa is Vall...

I'm actually a bit surprised since the wiki article about Laythe doesn't still bear the statement "It is the most popular destination in the Solar System in-game" while the evidence about its popularity is already overwhelming :D

That statement would probably go to Duna, because its a good starting planet.

On topic: I would probably have to say Vall, I don't know why, but I think it looks cool and its not very hard to land on.

Laythe is pretty cool, the easiest of the Joolian's to land on, plus planes work there making it easy to explore.

Right now I'm working on a Tylo lander. It's been quite the hurdle. A tug, lander, and return vehicle. Hoping I've done my build correctly, but we'll see.

Someone doesn't understand jokes.

Well it's rather unclear if it's a joke or not at first view. Usually when it's sarcastic it goes way over the top and hints show. If it was, then I'm sorry to Pigbear, it didn't seem like a joke when I read it :P

Vall is awesome!

For mining bases? It's between Laythe and Tylo, so it can fuel anything in orbit of either of those too. Much easier to get off of and break orbit as well.

Exploration? If you had a good rover... man, some of those mountains would make good jumps. And those black-and-white rocks!

Landing? It's quite obvious if you're gonna hit an obstacle, and it has the lowest gravity of the inner 3 moons.

Laythe? Water is a pain and it's only attraction is the Oxygen.

Tylo? Big and annoying.

Can't say muchh about Bop and Pol becasue I have yet to venture there.

It's Laythe.

Europa has oxygen, and water.

Vall has water.

Laythe has oxygen AND water.

I even refer to it as "Europa" on my Facebook posts.

Ganymede is Vall. Vall is my second favorite moon. Like Ganymede.

Well, I thought Pol was pretty cool. Definitely up there.

Bop is a carbon copy of Gilly, and the dead Space Kraken freaks me right out (I hate things that are squishy and/or have tentacles, even in video games).

Tylo is pretty much a giant version of the Mun or Dres.

Vall is like a giant version of Minmus, but I do like it. Second-favorite moon, I think.

And everything about Laythe is awesome. It's beautiful from orbit, challenging to land on, has high mountains and a few canyons, and it can support boats and jets. Unanimous win right there.

No contest, Laythe's popularity is downright overwhelming.

I personally think that Vall is much more like Europa in that it is covered in ice. Laythe has a decent atmosphere, but very little ice on it. Europa does have oxygen in it's atmosphere, but there is far too little too be of much, if any use at all.

Actually, Tylo is the equivalent of Ganymede, and Vall is indeed Europa, covered in ice with potentially oceans beneath. Laythe is an equivalent of Titan. It might not seem like it, but Laythe will have intensive volcanic activity at some point. So just like Titan: atmosphere, lakes and oceans, volcanic activity. If my memory serves me right, Titan is also the only moon of the solar system to have an atmosphere.

There's also on Europa (very very thin), Io, Ganimede and Encelado :P

I liked Tylo the best, was definitely the hardest landing and mission planning I had (plus 1/3 fps from the transfer stage). Also, don't go to Tylo, everywhere else is trivial afterwards.

Laythe is supposed to be a mix of Io and Europa. Quote from Nova:

The general idea I had was if you scooted Europa in to around Io's position through some gravitational mishap. The tidal forces worked to melt the surface ice completely, and keep an ocean. (The atmosphere is a bit of artistic license there, it would have to form through some other means, unless it's mostly water vapor or something) Eventually I do want to make laythe quite volcanically active in addition to just having oceans. So pretty much a melted Europa plus Io. Despite the surface liquid it's not really a habitable place. Very radioactive (like Io).

Had they included a KSP-Version of Io (with things like Sulphur Volcanism and the like) I would have chose this Moon.

Due to the lack of such a Moon, I definitely choose Laythe
