I like replicating probes. I try to execute the missions in the same method, aswell. Same orbits the probes are actually on (or close enough to Kerbal)

Working towards Cassini and New Horizons, once the rest of the Kerbol System is implemented

Messenger (in Orbit around Mercury currently)

Dawn (ION Mission to the Asteroid Belt, check out Ceres, then hop to Vesta)((Sent to Dres, then made it to Eeloo))

Juno (Currently on its way to Jupiter, to be parked in a highly eccentric polar orbit to study the Magnetosphere)

Im considering doing the soviet missions to Venus... but they all failed in real life... so... wheres the fun in that?

STEREO Probes, LCROSS, LRO, Mars Odyssey, Maven are ones im looking forward to (Maybe ISS if Im feeling quite ambitious) any suggestions would be cool

Actually like 1 or 2 made it alive to the surface and transmitted valuable data like pics and readings.

Not sure if these fit the bill of replicas, as they are all(except the phoenix lander) based on concept images from the Mars One company and they haven't been built yet (and may never get built). I particularly like the transit vehicle.

Thanks Pseudonym, I was wondering about that, I think when I searched the forums for imgur instructions, the person must have put the space in so it could be seen by readers. At least my second try was closer, first I tried using html code.

Hey, just so you know, you put a space there, so here's what it would look like fixed:

Also, the rover is cute :)

Cool! Although these don't exist yet, compared to the concepts, they look awesome! I think you have found your place on the forums! ;)

Don't let this fantastic thread die!

This is my humble contribution to the goal

You hit my weak spot! I'm from Seattle!

Also, does anyone other than me think that it kind of looks like a Learjet?

Also, the panther looks awesome! Those missiles remind me of the TOW missiles used on the Bradley.

Perhaps I have to make a Bradley replica now...

Posted this in the Modded Craft Repository, but there doesn't seem to be much traffic there, so here's the replica I'm most proud of. This thing is super exciting to fly, especially in ground attack runs.

I built a P-38 Lightning replica which I'm really pleased to find flies a lot like the real P-38. I know you're going to say, sigh, just another warbird, but this one has a targetting system I'm particularly proud of.

Mods:

FAR

Kerbal Aircraft Expansion (KAX)

Procedural Wings

Skillful Weapons/Combat Damage Mod

Hullcam VDS

I know the IRL P-38 had one 20mm cannon and four 12.7mm machine guns, but I didn't have a 20mm available and ground attack is the main mode of battle in WT, so I converted it to 2x500lb and 2x 30mm autocannon. It does a number on soft ground targets with that aiming point (the rounds hit a few mm below the end of the communotron when in hullcam mode). Flies happily at about 2/3rds throttle, a speed at which you'll be hard pressed to put it into an accelerated stall in a tight turn. It's lovely! Landing is a little more hairy; keep your approach speed around 250-300km/h IAS (I think ~75m/s IAS). And give it a good, aggressive flare just before touchdown. Hope you enjoy!

And now... The moment you've all been waiting for...

The Bell X-1 Replica, brought to you by BriXman!

This craft was just a small thing I put together. Yes, I cheated a LITTLE bit by adding in hidden control surfaces inside the fuel tank but... it really was needed. :P In difference to the real thing, this has 26 engines, instead of 4...

More coming soon!
