planes or rockets?

I voted "I like them both" because most of the time I build Rockets to do specific stuff like assemble a space station or launch an army of probes around the Jool system. But I also build alot of Planes and SSTO Spaceplanes. I find them both fun to build.

Rockets, I like SSTOs, but they're completely useless.

Rockets are easier to build for me, since I don't have to worry about all of that crap about speed and flameouts and air breathing engines.

This is the most awesome benefit for plockets.

It is at this point that I notice one of the crew members is named 'Barwise'.

EDIT: Sorry the images aren't bigger. I am not aware of a method for easily resizing several images at once. The capsule is parachuting down in the penultimate image, if it's not very clear.

I like planes but have only got 2 into space, 1 via a shuttle like launcher and the other from the normal spaceplane way.

I dont put planes in space, i just hyperedit them to laythe or i fly them around kerbin, finding the EasterEggs!

Rockets, I like SSTOs, but they're completely useless.

I have yet to crack the SSTO nut, but I do use a rocket launched space plane for the coolness factor.

ideally I want to use space planes (SSTO if I can manage it with FAR, Deadly Re-Entry and life support) for LKO stuff: station re-supply, satellite launches and recovery etc...

Planes are more fun to build and fly, but I still can't make an SSTO. I use rockets when I have to get stuff done.

I've been using SSTO's for crew transfers to a space station ever since discovering B9. I still use rockets for most things though.

why does everyone seem to assume that SSTO = spaceplane? a vertical launching rocket can be a SSTO, ive built a few myself.
