Does the latest version still need the Module Manager installed?

I'm having issues with lag since I installed Tac LS and I'm trying to figure out where that is actually coming from. Otherwise, Tac LS is great!

Hi there, this is my very first post on this forum. The reason for signing up is because I have encountered a problem unfortunately. I have been enjoying this game more and more but have only recently installed this mod. The problem I'm having though is that

1) I don't seem to have a toolbar icon(or any icon) to access the settings for this mod. Nor anything to monitor the resources aboard my craft that involve this mod;

2)(Forgot I had a second problem) When I've built my craft with the resources onboard, it doesn't seem that anything gets used up. I still come back to Kerbin with the same amount of Oxygen, Water, etc as what I had installed into the craft. I do have other mods installed and rather than type a list of mods(partly because I'm unsure of the exact amount of mods installed) I figured I'd take a snippet of the GameData file - https://www.dropbox.com/s/o4ux02m5koo595z/Snip2.PNG

I hope someone can help me as I'd really like to make myself more of a challenge before I try jumping into the RSS/RO mods. Thank you in advance :)

Toolbar icon only available in Space Centre scene.

Check values that lie within.

Yes, it does, but Module Manager shouldn't be causing you any lag. It runs only during startup.

Have you actually launched your ship? I don't think the resources will get used before you launch.

I've tried in all scenes and nothing there

I've been to the Mun and back and not used a single resource

I figured it out. Turns out the .zip file I had downloaded didn't have the right files in it. Downloaded the file from the link in post #1241 and now works fine :D

It's not available anymore since the SpacePort closed and the only thing available on curse is the retexture, which requires the main mod. I really want life support, how do I get it?

As acc said above, download it from Github until I get everything rehosted somewhere: https://github.com/taraniselsu/TacLifeSupport/releases. This is true for all of my mods, see my signature.

Who made those white tanks with the nice letters on them? I was hoping to suggest a change to them.

Also, why not host on curse?

Because I had not had time to put them up. Now I've spent 4 hours tonight trying to upload it without success. I don't have that kind of time to waste right now.

I don't know if it's related, but I had my first two uploads to CurseForge rejected. It turned out that Zip7 was inserting a link back to it's web site into the zip file.

I think CurseForge was possibly seeing it as a virus? I then used the built in zip in Microsoft and the file was accepted.

Looks like the problem had three contributing causes:

  1. I am having problems with my Internet. It sometimes takes 2-3 tries to load a webpage.
  2. Curse was having server issues last night.
  3. Someone else uploaded a copy of my mod to Curse, and it was still "in review" so I could not find it by searching. Please do not upload any of my stuff anywhere without asking me first. I know you were probably trying to help but you made it harder for me.

What's wrong with GitHub releases?

  1. Curse is the "official" site so a lot of people will expect this to be there.
  2. Many popular mods are already there, so a lot of people will expect this to be there.
  3. Are there any bandwidth limits for GitHub?
  4. I like download counters
  5. Some people will use Curse to browse for new mods to try.
  6. Some people will get confused by Github and not download from the Releases page, or might be confused by the number of downloads on the Releases page. It is better for them to have a single big "Download" button.

If anyone's interested, I just re-textured Regex's in-line containers with a more muted palette, dropping the iconography, but keeping the colour theme.

Text is in the Star Trek NCC-1701 font.

These are great. Do you mind if I use these as basis for some new textures for the scrubbers and filters in Tac LS?

License permits anything you want to do.

I've actually totally overhauled the textures over the last 48 hours and was intending on releasing a version 2 later today, including textures for recyclers and hexcans. Just need to QA them and package them up.

THESE TEXTURES NOW HAVE A NEW HOME, PLEASE SEE...

Had a few people drop me a PM with requests to texture the recyclers and other parts (thanks, nice to have the encouragement), so I figured I'd clean the whole set up.

This is the first time I've attempted part re-texturing, so I'm still learning. But, overall, I'm happy with the result.

Hopefully, someone else will get some use out of them.

I`m kinda addicted to TAC Life Support since I first tried it, my main issues was always the textures, tried around 4 different ones from users who post here and there. So far yours are my favorite, gonna give them a try ;)

This looks fantastic - I'm so glad I asked before working on my own recycler textures. :)

These are great and I'd highly recommend them. Should definitely be added to the first post along with the other textures.
