[0.22] Universe Replacer v4.0

No... not really :P

Mostly because I had to do nothing of the sort and judging by the number of cloudy screenshots and lack of people asking for help, I can assume most people didn't have to do anything either. It's all very strange.

The plot thickens!

I redownloaded the mod to see if there was something up with it, and everything seems to be in order. Very strange. In any case, I would suggest you use the code I posted instead of what you have. So I'm going to go to sleep now and trust that everything worked out in the end.

I can't get this to work. I see these messages in the log:

It is not working for me.

I have the textures from Rareden's pack in the skybox folder, and mushroomman's clouds in the

Planet folders.

This is a fresh copy of V2.2.

Is there something I'm missing?

quick question for you two, are either of you running Kethane 0.75 as there is a problem with compatibility at the moment and the textures will not show up..,

No Kethane, but lots of other mods. I'll try a clean install and report back.

Finally figured it out, I had downloaded v2.0 and not noticed there was now a v2.2 of the universe replacer out.. downloaded that and installed it and the cfg file has all the things in it that it should have :)

I am still running kethane 7.4 still, turns out. Probably should update that.

I had no problems with the earlier version of this plugin.

But, the OP now says that problem is fixed, so all should be right soon.

Looks like mod incompatibility. I tried a fresh directory of 21.1 and only UniverseReplacer and it worked. It's late, so I'll deduce tomorrow and report back then.

Now the only texture pack we need is improved every other star.

Anyone got any idea for a star texture?

I already did that and with that guide you can edit it yourself (my texture can be edited and shared/spread/hacked apart as you want). But I have been told that Forum mods find this against the EULA (Which I can't find anywhere) and I think it is not against the plugin rules because the mod is just a dds texture, what you do to get it running isn't my responsibility. Although I do say how you can get it running. Now that might be against some rule, but if it is then that's a wide interpretation....

I have two versions of KSP One with Kethane. The other without Kethane.

With Kethane, the skybox and the cloud mods does not work. :(

Without Kethane, everything works perfectly. Is there a way to fix it? :confused:

Oh my, this thread has grown fast - and beyond just a new skybox as well!

Few questions before I return to working and whining about that I cant play KSP right now to try all this:

1. Jump-reading the last 10 pages I read that the planet textures are bad for planets with oceans - what exactly happens, do they recolor the water and we splash-land on land?

2. Are there any problems with the height of the terrain?

3. Are the clouds visible on the ground or are they a different mod? Do they show in the sky when down on Kerbin?

1.The planet textures will cover oceans, making it seem like there is land, but there is just water... you realize that it isn't land when you are in the planets atmosphere, you understand what a bumer it is... I'll give you an example, I retextured Kerbin to look like Earth, but when you look from space America looks like a land, but in the planet's atmosphere there is no land where America is, just water.

2. No, the textures just retexture the planet from space, however it does not effect the surface itself

3.No, if you use you cloud mod you can see the clouds only from space, not from the planet's atmosphere.

Wow, you're right. I made that the first mod to remove and UniverseReplacer now works. How did you know? (And how is a plugin for moving Kerbals affecting texture loading?)
