Easy there! KSP is only in Alpha. Oculus Rift probably won't be supported until well after the initial launch of the game.

i figure this can wait until they put out a final product that you can buy in a store. so id call it a low priority given the limited supply of dev kits.

HarvesteR mentioned here that he'd been doing some work on the camera code. The 6dof support may be able to configured to work with the Rift, and if not, at least some of the groundwork has already been started. We'll find out in 0.23.

Well you could use keys to center the view before you start the docking...

But I think the cool stuff would be to go eva and float around your station, walk around your lander or base, drive around with a rover, do a launch from iva view

with stereo 3D vision and headtracking I think all these would be awesome.

It would only work if first person view was added though...

Oh and I got a oculus rift incoming so +1 for me

That would be very neat. Think of IVA views too...

Also the game engine has to be ready for this kind of device, that means doing it in alpha, later it might become impossible.
