Azimech
Not sure yet. Not a B-24 because it's got a low wing. It might become a cargo plane based on the DC-4 ... but I might give it a bomb bay as well. Or, build a B-17 out of it. What do you think of the wings? Sharkman Briton
Fjorgyn assault carrier, carries 4 Erebor fighters powered by RCS, and 2 one-time use Horus missiles, more missiles will be added later but the main problem atm is DV. What do you think of the wings?I like the double wing thickness, gives a better wing root thickness. Not many low wing bombers the wing spar interferes with long bomb bays
Azimech
Those wings.. I've never seen such an amazing use of aesthetics. The wings become very rigid as well, just like the real ones. And you don't need a lot of struts either, just a few triangles at the right spots.

What do you think of the wings? one good thing I have found using the radiator panels for fuselages is they don't contribute random pointing lift/drag, the wellington only has vertical panels and it flies really well. Azimech
Yeah, designs that try to mimic real life with complex internal structures, FAR really is the way to go.
SaturnianBlue
Project Voyager is trudging on, I finished the RTG boom side of the spacecraft Exception being the High field Magnetometers now I just need to figure out the instrumentation boom. FlipNascar
Decided to revisit trucking. It's simple enough to get the trailer to freewheel, but what's always nagged at me is how to do that, and make it easy to just dump the trailers so that you can switch them around. If say for example you flew them all to the Mun where you can't just spawn another one. Can't believe it has taken me this long to finally twig the most suitable way to do this.... After having spent too many hours playing with faring bearings, undercarriage bearings, rover wheel bearings... So for the time being I'm just tinkering with different ways to give it enough freedom to move around as it needs, without jiggling itself to death. I've already swapped out the freewheeling bits for bigger. The mini nosecone was just far too wobbly. Want to find a simple way to do some sort of cargo ramp. The elevons work, albeit get all messed up when you control from the attached rovers - have to undock/decouple, then switch back to the trailer, lower ramp and drive off... Anyhoos, a lot more tinkering and tailoring needed before we can even start to think of making it look more truck-like.As an aside, I hope that with the reworked wheel mechanics/physics/dynamics that we'll be able to use rover wheels to drive more stuff... And if it is possible now, please enlighten me, I can't get them to work because they just keep on spinning and whatever they're in just stays perfectly still. Mad Rocket Scientist
Pfft, that's not a flying car. That's a jet engine with a car strapped to it. Close enough.Basically the same!
selfish_meme
Anyone had an issue where the plane won't roll on the runway unless you are pulling up ( s ) Funny how a panel here or there affects handling, my top speed has halved and now oscillates between 60 and 70m/s (which is fine because a top speed of 504 kmh was ridiculous), all because of little changes in wing panels. Still handles great in the air, but my bomb is too big and gets stuck sometimes, you have to jiggle it Edited August 27, 2015 by selfish_meme
ghostbuzzer7
Started dropping a new never before seen french light tank out of the sky!Oh boy brace for impact!!Success no broken parts GG. ScriptKitt3h
Working on a new series of potentially MP-ready space battleships- starting with the NX-1.I'm working on replacing its SRB missiles in those VLS cells with something lighter and more long-ranged... I'm thinking ion drive torps.

(well, nx-01, but who's counting?)As a fan of both Star Wars/Star Trek, I really feel like I missed a good one there in giving the ship a name... perhaps I'll do it when I release it. It could be classified as any of those tanks since its name is only AMX 13 therefore you can call it a 13 90, 13 75, 24 57, So many titles all referring to the the gun size by mm
Frozen_Heart
Bringing my carrier back up to date for... reasons. Still had the old wing parts on I hadn't used it in so long.New version is almost finished. Needs more struts, fuel lines aren't in place, only the top plating is done, and the antennae is on backwards. It can carry 4 fighters along with droptanks and weapons of its own. Fully loaded packs 7k of dV.

selfish_meme
Maybe your horizontal stabilizers are blocking the exhaust and the control surfaces move out of the way when you press ?I think you are right, they are metres away but once I moved the engines to install the proper ones the problem went away. The exhaust does not point directly at them anymore.
