Did a lot of things:

Finally tamed my Boeing 747-400 replica to actually fly decently:

And sent an Ariane 5 and Rosetta/Philae probe to SPAAACE! ..Only to find out that the Philae had limited control, certainly not enough to land on Gilly.

Despite these successes, I still can't land a taildragger (Namely, a B-17) properly. Note the stray Mk3 Cockpit flying away.

Finally done with the nano refinery, I'm adding suspended wheels and surface scanner so it can move around with the grabbing unit and look for ore.

I guess the B-17 is overall finished - Turrets and capacity is done, all that hulabaloo.

At one point, though, I slammed and belly flopped into the runway so hard that the runway blew apart while much of the aircraft remained intact.

This is why, kids, you should never use the runway as a huge trampoline.

I also quite like the Ball Turret Gunner's view.

Columbia, Could you test out my B-17, and give me some feedback? Feel free to do as you wish to it, and I can PM you the .craft file if you would like to see it.

I sent you a PM :)

Do the turrets move?

This type of bearing can be made more compact with oxstat panels as collider.

I've done yet another suspension rover but this time really tiny only 30 parts, 1100kg

It's can vtol in Duna low gravity, I want to release those soon but I'd like to make a couple more tiny vehicles and pack them all in 1 download.

Anyway pics

I have a smallish smooth bearing, I can send you the craft file, it would only be one axis rotation.

You can see it in use here.

Thanks, but it's alright. It might add too much parts to an unplayable level, but thanks for the offer. By the way, looks awesome!

Decided to embark on a new project, namely:

If you're doing World War II bombers, you should do the A-20 Havoc, or maybe the Wellington.

Maybe I'll try and make a bomber one of these days.

Actually, those are pretty good ideas. I'll see if I could complete this B-29 by then. I still have to make a Silverplate version, though.

Bombing looks pretty good, except at the end one slams on the cargo bay.

Waiting for CommanderSpock's feedback before I release the B-17 publicly.. It's part count is even higher than the B-29, in fact! Why? I have no idea..

Damn, dropping bombs doesn't seem as dramatic when done in one go than spamming the spacebar and watching them fly away one by one.

The explosion though really looks good.

The B-29 I made also has an incredible power with bombs.

Lemme quote what some wise and eloquent people would say in such a scenario...

Dayum, son!

A WIP, designed to lift a Big Red to orbit on chemical only.

That looks awesome. But, I must warn you:

a) Those wings have the lowest heat tolerance of any part in game, 1200ºC, so not overheating the on reentry is going to be needlessly complicated.

B) All those angled tanks are going to turn it into drag central... and I hopw the center of drag is behind CoM. Otherwise this design could perfectly well be unstable even tough the SPH indicators tell you everything is fine.

Rune. So... yeah. Party pooper here, sorry!

-So far heating seems to be okay with a few airbrakes/aerobrakes, and a bank of radiator panels that look pretty sweet anyway. It's still not even over a hundred parts yet, so I'm happy.

-Yup, tank placement is not final, although curiously the largest amount of drag is coming off of the engines. This is literally my first SSTO, so it's sort of learn-as-I-go.
