Redshift OTF
It's turning out a bit more bulbous than I would have liked but then I am limited to the parts I can use.

Guest
^Love the swingarm!Mostly trying to get this "Duna base" (with an observation tower!) into Orbit. It's a self-propelled base that will house 27 Kerbals. Have hyperedited it to Duna for test landings, but now trying to get its lifter working. So far no dice once stage 4 separates, tumble o' death.http://i.imgur.com/2kBDTnJ.pngHey Thanks!I can see future mars colony inspiration in your idea!ElonMusk <3- - - Updated - - -It's turning out a bit more bulbous than I would have liked but then I am limited to the parts I can use.http://i.imgur.com/HDwKxOK.jpgWell that still looks pretty coolHowever I'd prefer not knowing the weight lol

Redshift OTF
I've made more progress. It's flexing a bit at the front and some of the connections I made weren't pretty. Also, I'm aware the original didn't have a bridge like that but I thought it was fun. Does anyone know how to change the root part? Or make parts glow? Yukon0009
I like this lifter! It has a clean but powerful look. What is not shown is that there are 24 (!) engines and a Kerbodyne's worth of fuel in that first stage.

Rune
Not to burst your bubble.http://i.imgur.com/ai7zIpm.jpgIs this a contest or something? I got 25% payload fraction. - - - Updated - - -Yes, pure stock.Have an idea how to increase carrying capacity of the crane, but it has some difficultyhttp://i.imgur.com/1S0Shar.jpgI already rep'ed you for it, but I want to make it public: at some point, I am building something like this, and using what I remember of yours as a guide to build it. Because it's that awesome. Also, that fuel truck is cute, too. I've never built decent car-looking rovers... Rune. Skylons build themselves with the Mk2 fuselages. It's like they were meant for it, and they have totally different looks! Edited February 26, 2015 by Rune
