what are the rectangles

What are those rectangles I keep seeing in people's signatures? Do they have something to do with the reputation system or are they something else?

They're mission ribbons for the worlds you've been to and specific accomplishments on them. Mine are nothing at all to brag about; I just like them because I'm a military nerd and I think ribbons are really cool.

The image itself should be a clickable link to the site where you can make your own. Try it out!

Well, I'm not completely against them. It's just that the honor system doesn't work for everybody, and they can get pretty monotonous. I like people with original signatures, not just a bunch of ribbons that people will generally skip without looking at them.

I was going to set them up but one look at that website and the concept that I'd have to go back every time I did ... well ... anything at all in the game made me just close down the tab in my browser and never go back

i likes my ribbons, and as I said I wear them on my signature with pride, but, I lack the skill to make a custom sig line like say you astropap1 or you 5thhorseman, so, ribbons must suffice lol

Mine's just a picture somebody posted here on the forums and gave me permission to use it, the logo for this thread, and a nice quote that didn't fit if I used the [ quote] [/quote ] tags. Really, using tables for this stuff is much better, but I'm too lazy to change my sig.
