First orbit achieved, I'm so excited!

I know most if not all of you have achieved this, but for me this was a monumental achievement! My space program has launched it's first Kerbonaut into orbit and returned him safely to the ground! Space exploration first steps FTW!! (Only took about 10-15 tries) (I have a hint for anyone new trying to do this, make sure you are turning to 45 degrees during ascent, and not misreading the gimball and only turning 22.5 degrees LOL)

...And here is a nice rear command module shot...never thought I'd get to take a photo like this! I've made it to space!

My space program never took off. Pardon the pun.

Never been to Mun, Minmus or anywhere in between. Except orbiting Kerbol and Dres. Maybe I should get out more...

Congratulations on your first orbit! May this lead to many great adventures!!

Congratulations on your first orbit!

Only people without MJ will feel this moment of joy. Get ready for Mun landing...I share the joys of yours.

MJ-ker...sorry, you won't and never ever will have the feeling how OP feel. Cause there is only 1 chance, and you let MJ do it for you... :)

Was this comment really needed? I mean we get it, you don't like people who use MJ. That said, and I use MJ, but I fly my launches by hand. I mean seriously, just because people use MJ doesnt mean they use it as an auto-pilot. Sure, I dont get anything out of getting to orbit unless its a new ship but then again, getting to orbit expected for someone who has played for some 460+ hours.

True words.

I use MechJeb...

To automate the tedium bits.

But first, I do it by hand. And pen&paper. Looots of paper. (You ever try to analyse a 12-stage Jet/SRB/rocket/nuke vehicle's delta-v, especially if you plan on manually pumping fuel around every now and then. Fun! (not))

And once Mechjeb has shown me shot IT does the job, i very often fire it and revert to manual! I can launch a rickety rocket with less explosions, and more fuel remaining, that MJ's autoascend ever will.

Don't let MJ spoil your adventure by removing the thrill, and don't let the absence of MJ turn your interplanetary adventure into a tedium of routine tasks.

p.s.

Congrats on that first orbit!

You know that awesome feeling you are feeling? You will get it again the first time you land on the Mun.

Or dock in orbit using *only* manual means.

Or aerobrake into Eve

Or discover the XXXXX (spoiler redacted) on Duna, with its map to XXXXXX.

Or circumnavigate Eeloo in a rover.

Or.

Or..

or...

The world of KSP awaits you, you have barely scratched the surface yet!

Guys...please don't spoil OP's joy with our petty arguments about MechJeb.

Congratulations :) First real orbit is always great thing - and there is much more to come :D First Mun landing, first Duna landing, first successful Jool aerobraking... Much fun is to be had in KSP, no matter how you decide to play it.
