NASA takes after KSP

I love how the one on the right saying oversize load isn't actually carrying anything. (Unless, what's in the box ?)

And the on the left shouldn't say oversize load. That's not over sized. It's perfect!

Any idea what this is for?

The box IS the oversize load. Note how it overhangs the side of the trailer.

I've had quite a good time reading all of these humorous posts :)

Really excited to see Orion fly, it's a big step for NASA. Although the Delta IV Heavy design has been around a while now, it's not new (first flight in 2004). :) "Moar Power" is more appropriate for the Delta IV Heavy since it is the most powerful rocket in use (SLS Block I will take that spot in 2017, and Falcon Heavy will hold the title for a short period of time before that, starting in 2015)

Oh, and one other thing. I believe the core stage and the boosters are the same exact size. They're both "Common Booster Cores," the way they make the outer ones separate first is by throttling down the core stage, I believe.

Yeah, NASA uses RSS, Deadly Re-Entry, and Far. Think they've got RemoteTech working too...

Now what we REALLY need is one of the astronauts to stick the 3d printed Jeb/Bill/Bob in one of the capsules that's going up.

Fund it. Maybe if we all pitch in and talk to NASA and/or SpaceX we can get one on the next Dragon flight up to the ISS.

Or a sticker. Or put KSP on a jump drive and send it up. Surely one of these laptops can run KSP, right?

Yo dawg, I heard you like spaceflight, so you can spaceflight while you spaceflight. Like this (photoshopped):

Oh lord, if that happens I foresee one astronaut/cosmonaut trying to build an ISS replica. Then that replica uses Helldiver's upcoming extra modules for the KSO, which feature working laptops. They then figure out how to run KSP in KSP and we get space-ception.

Isn't it 200$ per gram of material or something insane like that?

We could fund a Jebidiah Kerman on the SLS's maiden flight, duct taped to the nose.

Let's start an Indiegogo campaign!

According to this chart, it's $4,100ish per pound to LEO. I'm pretty sure Bill, Bob, AND Jeb probably total less than a pound. It... probably wouldn't be that hard to get that sort of money from the KSP community. Although, given the current NASA/KSP pairing, I think Jeb lassoing an asteroid while on EVA would be more appropriate (I really feel that should be a picture somewhere. Someone with more art skill than I, please make it so!)

Also those food and oxygen (life support) mod.

Now if they can just install KETHANE mining mod an interstellar, life would be much more interesting :)

Are you hearing me NASA? Please make this happen! ASAP!! :D
