Giggleplex777
No... Constellation. The feels! It really was a cool program.SLS is pretty much Constellation, except with more realistic goals.
ArmchairGravy
Can someone give me the skinny for doing science on an asteroid? I saw a lot of captures during the marathon, but I didn't see anyone doing science.
AlexinTokyo
AFAIK it's surface samples only, but you can get different samples from the same asteroid depending on what SoI/orbital height it's at.
Deathsoul097
SLS is pretty much Constellation, except with more realistic goals. Still though, going to mars and return! In only 8-9 Launches! Manned! I understand SLS is much more realistic, but you just can't beat what that programme proposed, it was all just so awesome! Still gonna try it mostly stock with the new update anyway. Deathsoul097
Is this update already out or is it coming out very soon? Am not really sure.Unfortunately, it has not been released yet. Do you think we would be here discussing it if the masses could get their hands on it?
CalculusWarrior
Is this update already out or is it coming out very soon? Am not really sure.Oh believe me, you'll definitely know when the update comes out My speculation is a Monday or Tuesday release, to give Squad time to finish fixing bugs and whatnot. Regardless if I am correct, the update is definitely close!
Klingon Admiral
But ... but ... Age of Wonders 3 is released on Monday. Why must Squad ALWAYS release their new versions of KSp when other games I'm hyped for come out?
Orionblade
I think I'm going to get to work on a ring system around Kerbin. Shouldn't be too hard if the asteroid population is high enough... Keep launching fuel tanks, dock them to stations built on the asteroids, and then keep docking the asteroids together, or at least placing them in close orbits... no gravity between them... holy hell, i think, just maybe, this might make things really, really interesting. Age of Wonders 3 is released on Monday. Why must Squad ALWAYS release their new versions of KSp when other games I'm hyped for come out?/offtopic: It looks a lot like Civ./ontopic: Who cares about anything, or any plans. Lord Banjo
If i remember correctly, asteroids are slightly more dense then Kerbin water, but with low density parts attached they could float. The Destroyer
While I wait, I looked in my rocket cooking list. I threw a gemini, a sls, and an apollo and mashed it all up. This is what I got...kinda slsey?
KvickFlygarn87
About what? spoilers actually working? No, really, when did they come back?.Apparently they've been here for a while. And don't make a new thread, there is one already.
CalculusWarrior
I like those boosters; they look like the Advanced Boosters for later Blocks of the SLS.

KvickFlygarn87
That 'a while' is about a week long. Credits go to KasperVld.Oh. My bad, I just thought it was longer.Back on topic, I will probably be doing a heavily modded let's play/playthrough when .23.5 arrives.
Xavier513
First, I'll rework/upgrade all my heavy rockets, and remove the word 'heavy' from old ones. : )
problemecium
I consider bigger parts an opportunity to do away with "heavy" and "super-heavy" and break into the territory of ultra- and uber-heavy lifters.
Epthelyn
as the other question is answered. No they only spawn near Kerbin's orbit. If you're leaving Kerbin, you're in the zone where asteroids can spawn. If you're on the way to another planet from Kerbin, you're leaving Kerbin. Put those two statements together and it's pretty reasonable to say that if you're leaving Kerbin for another planet, you could encounter an asteroid.Of course, if the OP meant "If I'm near another planet other than Kerbin, will I encounter an asteroid?" then the answer is no...unless you put it there. NecroBones
My first goal will be to design new lifters to put in the subassemblies, based on payload weight supported. Last night I built test payloads with weights of 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, and 150 to test them with. I'll probably make a 200 ton test payload too. After that, we'll see.
