So, I finished a new gunship....

Expect these in a battle soon.

Also, before anyone thinks disk rockets can't do squat against modern tanks and other surface units, these ones get up to 250 m/s in only a second or two.

Considering the max impact tolerance of steel plate armor is 80 (though it can glitch out on impact, making it more around 100 m/s tolerance), I feel pretty safe in saying that the higher-speed stack rockets beat it.

Yup, that too is a gunship. However, it all depends on the context.

I tend to think of VTOLs and helicopters when I hear the word "gunship", mainly due to IRL aircraft like the MI-24 Hind, Bell UH-1, and the

AH-1Z Viper.

It is VTOL though

Updates on team Murica

First things first, as to not cause any confusion from craft registration from other members, the team consists of forum users Darthzeus, Rexmundo, and Blufire13.

Second, here's some new crafts

Javascript is disabled. View full album

Next up: More VTOLs!

Finally, we are breaking our crafts down in to more specific classes of craft, with murica being one of these classes. The new team name is unofficially the Triple Liitto

Pics or NOOOOT!!!!

Srsly tho, I've had my Panther shrug off I-beam missiles (small one with 2 sepratrons at the sides) that are going around 150m/s

I want you to test out your disc rockets vs my Panther. And the other thing, accuracy is a huge issue with those kinds of rockets.

That's also why no one uses disc rockets in orbital combat. They are simply ineffective.

So, the classic argument over whether or not light rockets are worth it compared to i-beams...

In the words of the "Old El Paso" kid, "Why not both?"

This VTOL managed to hit a training target (wrapped in dual-layer armor) from the runway, when the target was parked up against the VAB.

Another SNSS Nightmare powers up and engages the remaining Scout.

<snip>

persist

your move

I'd love to know how the SNSS Nightmare became disentangled with the rockets from the Scout Sniper. One was lodged in way past the engine and into the guts of the craft, with the other still connected via phantom forces. The RCS capability of those combined should easily have stopped any accurate orbital maneuvering, bar hyper-edit.

Thanks in advance for the clarification :D
