The most rage-summoning crash/bug/failure you have ever had in ksp?

I have had some pretty intractable terrain bugs that were only resolved through lots of persistence file hacking.

Though, the biggest most frustrating moments typically have been where the problem was between the keyboard and chair.

finally got an asteriod in deep space, got it to kerbin, got an almost circular orbit.

so i try to time warp to the sunny side of the planet for a screenshot, and lo and behold, my craft is locked on the darkside, literaly locked in place in space, and whilst still non-physical time warping, my periapsis is dropping to below atmosphere. i didnt have enough fuel to save it and it landed in the desert :(

Running out of fuel on a return trip from a massively profitable interplanetary fly-by. Used to be a hair pulling experience.. I've had to limp back to Kerbin via RCS on a few occasions..

As far as bugs are concerned:

Have the BSOD whenever my Kerbonaut is trying to stand up after falling whilst on Kerbin; probably due to bumping his head on the craft. Has happened a number of times.... Hasn't happened since the recent update. Perhaps they fixed it? Not sure.

My worst was building a space station module, finally getting it into orbit (manned), only to have a structural failure bewteen the orange tank with the mainsail engine, and the large SAS unit it was attached to, blow up the ship and kill the crew at the point of throttle-up for circularising the orbit. I disable reverts and autosaves for realism, but that just wound me up given it didn't behave like that with any other part combination I had. In future I started attaching radial struts between the SAS and the orange tank to improve stack strength, never happened again after that.

My most frustrating has to be when my docking for a base doesn't fit, but It worked on Kerbin- I could, but choose not to simulate (hyperedit). Other than that, its fuel under-packing, but that is just tempting my ingenuity out of retirement :D

Made mission to Minmus in career mode. Gathered all possible data from that boulder. I had not so much fuel, so I've put that thing on Kerbin's hich eccetric orbit and sent a refueler. Now, what is the problem:

1) No colar cells on the Minmus Mission Ship

2) TACLS installed

3) Battaries almost depleted

4) Orbit is terrible

I've messed around for 2-3 hours, making that thing to rendevouze with refueler. Made it. Deorbited it. Land...CRASH!!!

Last save was when I've leaved Minmus's SOI.

Way back in 0.18, during the Dark Age of the Kraken, I had a massive geosynchronous station that was consumed due to the then-infamous "physics-less part with docking port causes spontaneous unplanned disassembly" bug (which has thankfully been fixed since then).

My poor, poor station... I may have trumped you since, but you are not forgotten, my old friend...

Back in my carreer mode save, I had almost 1000 science to bask in from a trip to tylo, Until a glitch happened and the capsule plummeted into kerbin even though I deployed parachutes, the glitch was that the parachutes didn't deploy although they opened.

I'm like RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a Jool mission, after several hours of tedious maneuvers (It was a really really underpowered mission, the Kerbin escape burn was something like 45 minutes of game time, and 1.5 hours real time, mostly MechJeb handling that.), I had my ship in Jool orbit. Time for bed. Can't save while throttled up... WHAT? I'M NOT!? Tried switching out to other ships and back, and wound up targetted on an invisible part somewhere near Kerbin. I think maybe it was part of my launch vehicle - I think I had a launch engine break off just as I was reaching orbit, and left itself in a throttled up but unable-to-be-controlled state, and then somehow remained active even after I reached Jool despite being well out of the usual active range. I'm not sure that's what it was, because I couldn't actually see the part, and once I'd gotten targetted on it, I also couldn't switch to other ships any more. I never did manage to resolve all that, wound up losing all that progress and doing it again, from launch, the next day (it worked fine that time, I made sure to test saving as soon as I got to orbit too).

3 THINGS!

1-My first try to intercept Eeloo as a Planetary mapping campaign. The problem was that i couldn't been able to redirect the probe when it was on its SOI. I forgot about monitoring it.

2-A Rocket plane to Duna. It took 2 years of travel to Duna and docking whit the OSK (Orbital Station Kavinko). During the test descent scenario (Tests at Kerbin aren't effective for this task) it was not able to land and exploded.

3-Failed campaigns. i had failed 4 times to complete a Khetane outpost, i suck at keeping on focus on something actually The OSK is supposed to be the 5th try (and actually the best of all) But i haven't launched a part to start mining because im failing very much at spotlandings. The last descent was terrible, Im at almost 5km of the supposed landing site.

Probably was when I had built a big surface base on duna. When I docked the last part random parts of it just exploded or detached completely ruining all the work I had put into the base. And this was after driving one of the modules across half of the planet which was about 18hours or so drive in real life :P

Back in 0.23 I had this recurring issue where I could send a craft anywhere in the system, perform a mission and come home with no issues at all... Until I tried to land. Everything would work perfectly until I hit about 1,200 meters and then the game would spontaneously crash. Luckily after this happened a few times I learned to quicksave right before the deorbit burn!

You have chair issues? :P
