Beale
Since it's basically a light Angara, it could be made with the oncoming parts. Yep, this should come together quite nicely Tantares and HGR? Hell yeah!!!Just the props! A cheeky little image really. Here's what I'm going for with the new LK, a bit more detail in the body. Thanks again to dimovski for digging up the actual drawings. T'Flok
Uhh.. well. It's certainly good to have Gemini IVA finally but, uh. It's missing RPM monitor(s). Hate to be on a feedback loop here over this.
Beale
This is very cute, Beale. Are you going to add in a bit of blue (or other color), or will it be grey?I dislike the blue a bit, the real one would be thermal coated anyway, but ill try and have some amount of colour in it.Yeah, but you two could do more together.Who knows what the future could bring? T'Flok
Ah, understandable. Good to hear they'll be around soon. VenomousRequiem
So I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but you should totally make two things: First, the little fins for the R-7's boosters. I don't know why but it's been bothering me that they're not there. And the other thing, kinda the same but the grid looking control surfaces for the N-1 would be cool as well. tg626
Can you share .craft file for the new lunar N1?I'll see what I can do tonight. Right now it's still a little wobbly on the top end, which is why I have no shots between pad and orbit - too busy controlling the thing It does have a functional abort sequence however. tg626
Is the LEM included with the main download? I don't see it.Yes, it's within the lower fairings. Though now that I see kopapaka's pics I realize I didn't put antennea on anything :/Also, jettisoning the fairings in Munar orbit will leave debris. You could settle into a high orbit of the Mun, lower your Pe below ground, eject the fairings and then EVA/Transfer/undock and raise the Pe of each ship individually I suppose. I didn't bother with that though. The idea of the lower fairing (over the LK lander) is to carry the force of Stage 4's thrust through the fairing to push the Soyuz on top, rather then it being carried through the LK Lander. I imagine the IRL design called for the LK to be so flimsy that directing the force of Stage 4's thrust through it would put the LK lander in danger of being crushed. Also, for the purest...N1Stage 1 = Block AStage 2 = Block BStage 3 = Block VL3Stage 4 = Block GStage 5 = Block D (omitted in my design)LK Lander = Block E/LKSoyuz = Block I/LOKLES = SASExcellent diagram here ->http://www.russianspaceweb.com/n1.html Edited February 24, 2015 by tg626

MK3424
It's wrongly proportioned? No no no, not that... the LK has another stage underneath it when it does it's TMI (Tran Munar Insertions) burn aswell as the MOI (Munar Orbit Insertion) and part of the DOI (Descent Orbit insertion), it has a weird shape, with a toroidal tank underneath it.(Note: you can see it being detached at 5:35 on the video i posted earlier) Edited February 24, 2015 by MK3424
