Tapejara
That N-1 is truly a thing of beauty. On an unrelated note, I decided to make a quick R7-alike ICBM using Tantares LV. Will it have sufficient range to hit another continent?10 minutes later...Yes, it definitely can reach another continent!

Beale
That N1 is looking really nice in-game!Yeah... it almost fits the KSP moto: MOAR boosters! (in this case: MOAR engines!)Many thanks! It is done now. I'll put up the beta soon (Sadly without Block G yet).Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Are those the final engine FX?Thanks For stage 1, yep.Stage 2 and 3, they will need bigger flames.WOW!Now that looks good! Thanks That looks beautiful!Any plans on smoke FX?For stage 1 & 2, I cannot, the same problem AB launchers has had with the 5m cluster engines. For stage 3, I could, but then again that might look weird when the previous two stages are smoke-less + you typically won't use stage 3 in lower atmosphere. That N-1 is truly a thing of beauty. On an unrelated note, I decided to make a quick R7-alike ICBM using Tantares LV. Beale
Get It HereShould be relatively bug free, apart from FX. Please note the Block G still missing. The purpose of this is to find bugs, so if you do, let me know!

Tapejara
Get It HerePerfect, now I can launch my new s̶u̶r̶v̶e̶i̶l̶l̶a̶n̶c̶e̶ civilian research station. To the Mun! Many thanks for the feedback!A cool payload also. Now what's the russian version of fly me to the moon?Wait, I actually found a russian version... weird. (Actually it's a totally different song, oops).Block GThe tank is simple and sleek. No textures needed, which is nice. The engine is... Well, I am not good at modelling pipes, so we'll see where this goes...Will give it a bit more "pipe greeble" and a turbo pump.Munar mission with a brand new N-1! (hope the first one )http://imgur.com/a/DBRsJSo cool!I'll call it the first! Hopefully improvising Blok-D will not be needed much longer. biohazard15
Okay...With 30-ton NRAP and Proton 3rd stage serving as Block G, it has about 200 dV in Block V when it reaches 100x100 orbit (FAR & KIDS in "Atmospheric only")Things:- 1st stage TWR is kinda high, I suggest making it lower by lowering thrust somewhat- I suggest making engine flames somewhat longer - to compensate for the absent of smoke FX
dimovski
What I'd love to see is this load of greeble:Add a nozzle to it in the middle and you got the ultimate service module propulsion unit.

Could be a few balance problems Or maybe those SXT nukes are just powerful! (They're expensive after all)Launched on the N-1 without Block G or D.That's Duna, by the way.My first ever legit non-cheaty trip there! Actually I kid, balance seems fine. This was very much a one-way-trip. Edited February 20, 2015 by Beale

DGatsby
Not quite; it was more like five N1s strapped together. They were all suppose to stage at the same time. Sadly after stagging the second stage it sort of fell apart.

They do that just alright - it's just thrust I'm talking about. Block A should be more in-line with Block B - around 1.60 start TWR, and around 2.5 max TWR with designated payload (35-40 tons)."Atmospheric only" preset doesn't affect thrust, it affects only the atmospheric Isp. I don't use advanced settings like variable thrust because they're indiscriminate (I have micro-rocket made from RLA parts, and I have a 1400kN upper stage; using variable thrust would break at least one of them).
