I'm feeling a bit of a dunce today - where do I install this .cfg?

I *think* in GameData > KerbalScienceFoundation > NavInstruments > Runways

That's where the other configs for runways are, anyway. I've stuck it in there, I'll fire it up and see if it works.

Got started on Arctic Extras. Few things I'm working on. This one's nearly done.

Inspiration

Arctic barracks, day time

Arctic barracks at night, making use of Unity's point lighting which KSP actually supports. Yay. (Shame neither Unity's particle emitter or even KSP Part Tools emitter doesn't work, cos I want chimney smoke for another asset.)

I'm not interested in cloning Squad's assets, although I will use them for inspiration (see recent fuel tanks and water tower). Nor do I think KSC needs a second pad. If you want to add a second pad in your own game, fire up KerbTown and use that to place the launchpad already included in KerbinSide. Sorry chap. And apologies if it comes off a little rude but I don't take requests. I do however, consider suggestions as I've done here.

Edit - por spillen

For chimney smoke, you could have a looping animation of "low-poly smoke balls" instead of using particles. It would be more visible from a distance. That's how I was going to do the Rockomax factory, when I get around to it.

Has anyone come up with a method to convert tracking station location info into format that Remote Tech can use??

If not, where can i find the format description for the KerbinSide locations? I might give it a go to reformat / convert.

You can add tracking stations to RemoteTech in GameData\RemoteTech2\RemoteTech_Settings.cfg. Use the KerbTown editor tools (ctrl+k) to find the latitude/longitude of KerbinSide's tracking stations.

Ok, that's simple enough.... Duh...............

Time for more coffee...

Thanks for info..

EDIT: One more question regarding the RemoteTech issue, what do / did you do regarding the "Guid"????

I will also post / ask on RT forum.

Again, thanks.

Keep in mind KerbTown's cords do not directly translate. They need converting. That's why I gave up doing it. Maths is not my strong point. My wife gave me the procedure for the conversion which I rapidly blanked out of my brain. Maths hurts my brain.

Quick heads-up for anyone reading who was following KerbinSide on Kerbal Stuff. For some reason on the 25th August the mod suddenly lost 12 followers. No other mod was affected, just KerbinSide. If you were following the mod on Kerbal Stuff I'd advise checking to see if you're still following. I'll be doing updates to the All In 1 more regularly in future.

Cheers for reading.

Could your wife give us the procedure? Perhaps someone else could figure it out then

IIRC the issue is that for either Southerly or Northerly assets, KerbTown doesn't properly invert part of the co-ordinate. Or something. My wife is dealing with some personal stuff so I don't want to bother her. I was being anecdotal and inappropriately witty. Try firing up KerbTown, get the cords and setting up an asset in RT2's config North of the equator and one South. Then you should see the issue more clealry and be better able to figure it out yourself.

EDIT - "It's the East/West value, can't remember which way around it is but KerbTown shows the value as West whereas RT2 (and the Tracking Station) show East (or vice versa). So just subtract KerbTown's value from 360 and it should be correct." - Ravencrow (aka my wife)
