LORDPrometheus
I wouldn't say unfounded Previous updates did royally screw with parts of the API KK relied on. Thankfully that didn't happen in this update.I'm starting work on something of a special edition/reboot of KerbinSide. The culling of bases is going to happen because there's far too many redundant ones. Some new bases will be added to further increase global coverage. Bases will be improved/expanded. New features I'm wary to go in to too much detail yet but one thing I will hint at: there have been attempts in the past by other mods to provide visual proof when in orbit that Kerbin is populated. I'm planning to try my own idea for that (and no, it won't step on the toes of Eskandare's project).sounds like a plan i for own would like to see a fully fledged military base on a coast with barracks a dock a runway the works
Eskandare
BACK IN ACTION! I have returned for 1.0.Things I'll be doing:- Optimizing the carrier to be less laggy and add the new lighting.- Complete and optimize the "secret base."- As an option, convert all texture assets into *.dds format. Great to see you again, AlphaAsh and Eskandare!No-one notices me I'm actually working on another new base, but considering AlphaAsh is culling a large number, I think I'll hold off on finishing it. JaffaFediration
Most of the bases are near the equator, could we have some more further away ones maybe? The ones I made are almost entirely in the arctic circle.Thats most of them ^- - - Updated - - -since that Screenshot I placed on on the North Pole. AlphaAsh
Yup. Next version of KerbinSide there'll be an increase in global coverage but a few bases will also get the chop.

Beetlecat
Will DDS reduce the memory footprint? I dream of being able to play with Kerbinside AND all the cool toys as well.
Andy81le
I have just installed it but the launch sites are not showing. Using the All-in-1 and the most recent KK. What am I doing wrong?
AlphaAsh
Will DDS reduce the memory footprint? I dream of being able to play with Kerbinside AND all the cool toys as well. It will. KerbinSide's textures will be DDS next version, now that KSP has native support for the format.I have just installed it but the launch sites are not showing. Using the All-in-1 and the most recent KK. What am I doing wrong? Please clarify. Not showing where? The launch site selector in the VAB/SPH? The launch site after launching? The icons in the tracking station? I can't help with such vague info.
RedDwarfIV
When I first installed KerbinSide, I launched a craft from Coaler Crater. Alongside the runway and three Nissen huts, there was also a set of approach lights and a big-assed radio telescope. Then I realised it was all a flat grey, and I installed the Texture Pack.I reopened from Coaler Crater... and the approach lights and radio telescope were missing. Is there any way to get them back? Praetorian
I am using ATM, and the taskbar icon is white, and the planet ones are black. Has someone made a fix for this?

Spacepetscompany
This threads OP chap. Sorry for the confusion. It should have a link to the fix to Praetorians problem. As for your situation, I need a bit more information than what you've given me if you want help. Edited May 1, 2015 by Spacepetscompany
RedDwarfIV
Please elaborate, what pack(s) did you use to install Kerbinside? We can't work with such vague information.I'm pretty sure I just downloaded SPC's Expanded Bases, Kerbal Konstructs, Oceania and all of the download packs. At the time I didn't realise All-In-One was a thing. Then I redownloaded it but with All-In-One, and the approach lights and huge radio telescope were gone. I haven't been able to get them back since. I was hoping someone would know, but if not, I guess I'll try to replicate how I did it the first time and go from there.
Spacepetscompany
The All-in one does not currently have SPC's (That's me) Expanded bases as part of the download. You have to install it on top of the All-in one if you want the additions it contains until All-in one gets updated.
Cetera
In KSP 1.0 (and 1.0.2), I'm running into issues where a great many structures disappear from Kerbinside when I exit a space center building (particularly the VAB). You can still see portions and parts of some buildings, but most are gone. The bridge to the city is gone, at least half the city buildings are gone, the radar dish on the hill is gone, etc. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I can take screenshots if it would be of assistance.

Commissioner Tadpole
Does this mod dock the FPS too much? Also, do you plan to add some objects to other planets later on? (I think of a LaytheSide mod that adds remnants of a long-extinct civilization )
