Is that probe made up?

Have you thought about making the falcon X or XX?

What is that?

It's a probe design called the Hedgehog probe. It's pretty cool so I felt like making it. Also, not too sure on those at the moment. Perhaps in the future though. :)

Hey Tygoo, the SAS Orientation (IE: Prograde, Retrograde, radial, etc) doesn't work.

Also Why does the gear change a color on the heat shield

I have to idea on how to fix the orientation thing, but the gear changes color because of the ablation.

Hey Tygoo, one more thing. I'm using the Rodan to colonize Duna, and I would really like it if when the spacecraft lifts off with its jets, it could produce dust and smoke effects. (Compare launches using standard rockets and the Rodan) Just a nitpick, but I like it when it lifts off. Also, I would really like it if you could click on the windows and zoom in. :D

I didn't get any luck putting those effects on the engines, so I don't know about that. The windows, perhaps in the future.

If you're talking about individual lines for each thruster. Just make a single one.

Wait are you talking about smoke effects from the engines or the dust effects that were added in 1.0? For the smoke effects, I suggest downloading RealPlume because that adds some amazing engine effects for the parts.

It just seems unrealistic The RP. And yes, I'm talking about dust and smoke effects. I'd just love to see a plume of dust and smoke while ascending from Duna. Plus RP causes extreme lagspikes.

RealPlume uses Smokescreen so it has in-game settings menu where you can turn down the maximum particles.

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted any progress and stuff on this mod for a while. I've been a bit busy with school and stuff. Recently I started working on this again and I can list what I have planned for the rest of this mod until a 1.0 release!

Hedgehog probe: You guys have already seen this one, it will get a texture revamp because the current texture is, bleh. I think I might put a claw module on it so you can fling it and asteroids and it will stick to it. The way the spikes will work is still TBD.

New Horizons: I was fascinated by the New Horizons mission and want this part in KSP with a stockalike feel. It will most likely just use the stock RTG.

Rosetta and Philae: I've already shown some models of these. I will finish modeling them and then move onto texturing. Rosetta will have placeable RCS ports, an antenna, and solar panels. Philae will probably be either one or two parts and will include a claw module for the legs.

Cubesats: Basically just some stockalike cubesat parts. These will include some modular parts for small little cube sats that will be able to be attaches to the sides of things like in the SLS mission.

Misc parts: Just some random probe parts that could be useful. For example: Antennas, solar panels, probe cores, ect.

After this is all done, this mod will be ready to be in the Release Thread.

Just a heads up, I will be streaming Saturday at 11am CST. Hopefully I can get at least New Horizons done by the end of the stream.

Just curious Tygoo, are you ever going to make a Falcon X? Still, great news on the probe parts.

However, tbh, considering for some reason I can't get 1.0.5 to work on 64bit hack (keeps crashing), I'm sticking to 1.0.4 until 1.1 is released.

It was shown right here. I encourage you to make your own part since it's nice to have a variety of parts IMO. :)

Ooh, I just might actually. Yours looks cool but mine was going to be very close in style to the one from the old Asteroid Cities mod, whereas yours is much closer to real Philae. More variety is always nice, yeah?
