When did the "forest' get planted?

I swear there were no trees this morning, but now there is a forest of several dozen trees, shrubs, and grass a few km NW of KSP. I haven't seen anything else new.

Tree (terrain scatters) have been in KSP for quite some time, but don't always appear everywhere, and they can be hard to find at times.

You'll also see rocks on Kerbin, grass, and cacti in the desert, not to mention all the stuff on the other planets and moons

There's been this bug for a loooonnnng time. Trees are supposed to be all around the KSC area, however they only seem to appear at random times. This is regardless of settings, and really should be fixed.

Wow, Ive been flying around KSP for over 200 hours and never saw them before. Havent seen cacti either. I have seen boulders on Minmus and Mun though.

Terrain scatters appear to be randomly generated each time you load up the game, so if you're exploring a forest then come back to it later, you may find that the trees have moved. The entire feature is still WIP though, so hopefully we'll see better scatter features in the future!

I have never seen any of this flora. Noticed it in a few videos and I always figured it some mod!

Does Terrain Scatter take up lots of memory? Also, if I turn it on mid-game, is there a possibility one of my ships will be placed inside a boulder?

It uses a little more ram yeah, though not a lot as the trees are mostly identical.

Also, they are ghostly, so they won't harm your craft

I had the same little interesting scatter quirk.

I land my rover, no trees.

I was hoping that someone can make a mod which enable us to plant tree on planets.

It would be amazing if in the future, I mean way ahead future to have many many more planets/solar systems, and actually be able to terraform them. For Kerbal way of life....oh wait, what do they breathe exactly? Its not air so, we're not sure?

I've only ever seen one tree...I did'nt have my scatter set very high, eventually decided to turn it off completely since it doesn't really serve much purpose in its current state.
