Spheniscine
Hello, it's been a while since I've played KSP, and I noticed that the PackRat rover has been overhauled Unfortunately I am having trouble figuring out how to put it together. The rollcage doesn't seem to attach so nicely to the MK3 cargo bay anymore, and I am having trouble figuring out how to place the rest of the chassis and wheels under it
MalneyKerman
There aren't any front and back chassis pieces any more; there is only a piece for one end and a battery chassis. Put two of the piece on either end of the battery. Then you put your cargo racks on top of those, and the roll cage goes on top of that. I was looking through my player.log file and found this line: Texture 'UmbraSpaceIndustries/ExpPack/PackRat/Assets/model000' not found! (Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 35) I opened the 1.4.0.0 build and copied (the model.mu and don't need it, works without) the model000.dds into the directory above and the texture loads properly! I'm not a programmer by any stretch, so I have no idea how to fix this properly or even how to go about locating what file is calling for the model000 file. Anyone have any ideas so we can submit a pull request? I know its been a year, but this solved the issue for me and wanted to say thanks. Seems like KSP doesn't like the way the seat texture was supposed to be loaded and wouldn't accept the non-standard name for it.
Fizzlebop Smith
Anyone out there still using this mod? In particular, i love the micro size Monoprop assets. The RCS block still produces blinding plumes. Anyone have personal confics that work with the newer VGX mods / settings. Do you happen to use the latest build of Deferred and Texture Unlimited mods? There seems to be a problem with the RCS thrust block producing plumes that ungodly bright and long. I think this is an issue with the way that it is interacting with the newest waterfall / plume effects that i have downloaded but i am not very knowledgeable in this thing. The problem is removed when i uninstall my visual mods, but many are dependencies of the others and I cannot really figure out what is going on. I was hoping to find that there is some way to create an MM patch that would exclude these two parts or modify their configurations enough to restore playability with them. I am playing a new career save geared at PBC and love the mods that are centered around small satellite packages. Do you have any problem with the visuals related to these two parts? 1) USI Packrat Rover Command Seat is completely transparent in the VAB except one single attachment node. 2) USI PackRat AES micro RCS thruster produces a plume that renders that part unusable
