Sorting function in tracking station

It buggers me for a while now, but I guess it can be easily solved:

All flights in the tracking station are sorted by launch/separation/discovery date, which makes for quite a mixed list of vessels. To keep track of my long-term missions, satellites, rovers, bases and stations I do use the different icons but also a certain naming system. I'd love to see the possibility to sort all objects in the list by launch/separation/discovery date, alphabetical order, MET and type. I'd guess this would really improve the tracking station.

Sorting function in every window that contains long list of things.

Not just tracking station itself.

It's a PC game after all - we have mouses and know the concept of sorting just fine.

I totally agree, I also think that scrolling lists in the tech tree screen needs to respond like a normal scroll bar ( it does elsewhere, like lists ) to the scroll wheel and clicking on the bar.

I know this is an old thread, but it's still a great idea. Didn't want to make a new thread about the same thing

In sandbox mode, I usually have 30+ flights going on... would be lovely to sort them by planet/moon or create a custom folder for a specific mission or something. Heck, even hide items. I don't want to delete my first satellite, but I don't need to always see it in the tracking station.

I'm just gonna go right ahead and kick this dead horse. This is probably the one thing about KSP that has bugged me the most.

I don't know if I suffer from mild OCD or what, but I have even scrapped whole saves simply because I forgot to launch everything in the exact order needed to get a readable list of vessels.

Yup... STILL no sorting in the Tracking Station, AND still no extra category/icons for "Satellite", or "Plane", either....

In one of the recent devnotes SQUAD mentioned a sorting system for the tracking station, based on set maneuver nodes... Nothing alphabetical though.
