This personal journey is now at and end. I move on to develop other things in life. KSP was great but it takes too much of my time. For the last period I've built stuff and shown to the world in the hope it would inspire others to develop it further. KSP could become a great learning tool for trying new and old tech. Apparently there is no interest. Maybe it's just too early. I expected some people to be interested in more things than just stacking tanks to tanks to engines. I have no-one to blame but myself. KSP became an obsession and it interfered with my daily life.

I want to thank Squad and a huge list of modders who made the tools that I used.

Azimech... I have a couple of friends who have many great ideas they like to share or cooperate on, but if no one is immediatly interested in them they become depressed and withdraws for a while. On many occation they have even left forums, quit bands, shut down their facebook accounts etc. I wish those people with their great ideas would have kept on pushing, and if no one is interested in their work, they should have done it anyway. For themselves. Actually I think they should have done it for themselves in the first place, and secondly for others. They should have done it because they love it, and not to win other peoples approval.

I'm not sure why I'm telling you about my friends or myself but it felt important somehow.

Take care :)

You haven't checked deep enough son:

Maybe you never installed "infernal robotics", who knows.

"Shaker's Law states that:

Those who egregiously announce their imminent departure from an Internet discussion forum almost never actually leave."

Good thing that law has the "Almost never" qualifier as I actualy did leave SWG and its forums for good in protest over the CU update back in the day following a post that gave a less than flattering rundown of the changes. Never did check back to see if I'd goten banned for that one.

To the OP I suggest takeing a break from the game for a few months or even a year. Chances are things will change over time and the spark will be rekindled.

I hate to pass judgement on you, but you're right. KSP might just be sticking fuel tanks onto engines, but then again, Legos, K'nex and other such toys are just sticking pieces of plastic together. It's the process of sticking the pieces of plastic together to create things that you want that's the fun part. Maybe you just didn't have any ideas? Sometimes I won't have any ideas for a long time and I'll quit KSP for a few months, but then I'll wanna recreate an aeroplane or try for a Mun landing to see if I still got it and I'll play it again for a week or two. Although, KSP, and any game/activity for that matter, becoming an obsession and affecting your daily life is never a good thing, so I guess you're justified in leaving. Still, it's your life, you have the right to guide your ship as you so please. You may anchor back into the port of KSP again, then again you may not, but if the open sea calls you, go right ahead. I don't hate you or dislike you, I hope I haven't given you that feeling, but if you do think that I dislike you or think you're stupid, I most certainly don't.

HI,

Agree with last post - well probly every post in here.

I just added a post to that thread and I did look at some engine someone built - didnt know if it was his so I was like that is kool I hope he develops it; and develops it more; well we have nuke stuff now and little parts that produce lots of stuff; so there is ingenuity there too.

I am into the roleplay and Science/Contracts stuff so I dont have much time yet to use up funds on new designs - YET ! I have 2 mil in the bank and 1500 Science in the bank which will net me 3 500Sci nodes; it takes alot of work to produce something new; it is a shame I wont see it now but I tell ya I wont be jumping off a bridge any time soon cause someone didnt finish their project - I am so guilty of same and procastinate it is awful and need to manage my time better I play KSP so much; only because I dont play KSP as a game but roleplay it as a SIM with a limited number of real life characters.

Now I am trying to integrate these new ideas into my roleplay but cant do it if people like you start and bug out - argghhh ! I am guilty of that too I know the feeling; you try so hard to fix things in the game; I spent a week almost 24-7 and developed health problems I was seeing rockets spin in my head at night !! UGH !!

We just need to limit our computer time and do those different things in life; that is what makes everything else so kool; now find a way to feed plant life into that engine so it can produce karbonite - or maybe use karbonite as an alloy for the high temp parts - I dunno I dont have that kind of imagination - you do - sad it is gonna go bye bye ...
