Vagani Car Manufacturers- Get Inspired- Final Challenge

I feel like submitting my main craft, and then submitting a "joke" craft just for kicks :P. Is this fine? If I actually win I think I'll hand off the prize of being included in the next pack. Mine won't match the list I don't think ;).

Yeah sure go ahead, but man these cars are getting amazing

Well, since im thinking there might be a second such competition, i decided to make a car in advance.

However, as it turns out, its the only car that scored a 0 on the crash test.

Oh dear... i swear this isn't supposed to be a Chrystler Voyager replica...

here is what i am working on at the moment for this, going to be a tank, want it to carry around 50 missiles.

Also because tanks are slow, i have built it to be a VTOL.

It will be glorious.

Going to be a few parts though.

Are jets allowed on the vehicle? That'd make my byte-sized beast a bit more interesting...

Hummock

Head on/rear/sideways/upside down collisions have no effect. I made a version of this that can wall climb but this one's jet is too far back to do so (it just flips).

Top speed of 36. Part count of exactly 100.

And now mah joke entry

#HYPETRAIN RAM

Collision score: .25 (HAH! get it... .25...)

Missile count: 3 shots, six missiles.

Part count of 306. btdubs it doesn't turn above 15m/s ish. :D

NOTE: If I somehow end up winning, hand the prize off to someone else ;). I'm just here for kicks.

I like building jets a lot, but from here and then, I like building some cars. I have many personal techniques in cars, which makes them act pretty good, but I couldn't use them on this car because It has an advanced suspension system, and the car would flip out with higher speeds, and if I didn't have the suspension, driving into a ~30' angle brakes the nose and hood of the car. This car is highly capable of falling a high distance and it can stably turn at speeds of 23 m/s. It has enhanced stability and all you have to keep in mind while driving this car is that you shouldn't hold*down w while making turns at 18+ m/s because it makes the weight of the car move around and the car doesn't have a stability system like in real life which regulates this, so it will tip to a side, which you generally don't want. I think this design will fit into your series because it kind of has the Vigani look, a suspension (not yours though), and is stable. Anyways I made a video of it:

Facts and Interest about the Aloceraptor

- Max Speed = 25.5 m/s

- Part Count = 106 parts

- Brake Speed (from 22 m/s) = 5 s

- It can turn better than many ksp cars, but it isnt anything special

- Cost = 69,496

- It has lights (red rear, normal front, and normal far lights) - Toggle normal lights with 1 and toggle far lights (like in real life) with 2

*I told you not to hold down w, but the car has a mechanic in that when you turn, you can turn even sharper by tapping w moderately slow repeatedly until the turn is completely done. Note that a couple of times a side of the car lifted up, that is because I either held w or because I tapped w too fast.

Time for more leaked pictures of "Car!" (I think I'm going to go with Avera9eJoe's recommendation and call it the "Kerbswagen Pillbug.")

I've just discovered that the mid-size antennas make everything look wonderful... there's now a structural-panel "bumper" at the bottom to keep the solar panels and lights happy... I'm more-or-less done with detailing the back of the car... and now it has some very small rearview mirrors! Also, I've added a 'cruise' mode that disables some of the SAS torque and extends the antenna on the back, and an 'abort' mode that slams on the brakes, activates all torque, and retracts the antenna. Progress is good.

Here's a view of the front (with the brake lights on)... so pretty!

Here's a never-before-seen view of the back (which, by the way, you can hitch a small trailer on to)... Simply gorgeous!

The cost of the thing has risen to 120k Kerbucks (in large part because of the aesthetic appeal of Gravioli detectors) and the part count is currently at 143. Maximum speed is a comfortable 21.9 m/s, but it feels like more in such a small craft. Still working on a reliable way for Kerbals to exit, and for a good way to repair tires, but I'd say I'm nearly done.

Not sure i'm up for any challenges(or capable of), but i have a cool car }B^]

Astro Truck 2.8

Parts: 144 (148 at start)

Weight: 8.23 tons (10.92 at start)

Speed: ~21m/s

Craft can be found in the .zip file in my repository (link on signature).

But I'll temporarily host a direct download for the truck alone, until this party is over.

OK, here's my entry:

It's based somewhat on the suspension chassis of the Humvee in my military replicas thread, but has been given a new body in the shape of a van! Features a driver seat and lots of space for more kerbals, cargo, or whatever else you want to put in it.

Craft file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24407836/Humdrumvan.craft

Part count: 184 (183 with pod to supply kerbal detached)

Weight: 7.78 t (with pod to supply kerbal detached)

Cost: 49528

Top speed: 22.8 m/s (on runway)

Acceleration: 0-10 m/s in 2.8 sec, 0-20 m/s in 9.6 sec
