What's up with the "initialization error" message (as shown in your screenshots) -- does that have any ill effect? I'm seeing those now with the latest version.

Hi Beetlecat,

PIT's that have the KOS terminal prop without the mod installed would throw that error, I've been a bit busy this week but I'll get back to it, and confirm for you.

One question. Sorry if it was asked later but... there is MK3 pod internals by Torouh Torpedo. Is it possible to request some one make a RPM path for it? cause latest patch touches RPM 0.16 version and now useless/ or may by alredy exist new patch?

I was planning on doing a version for that IVA, but couldnt find a license from TT that allowed me to use it - I'll recheck.

Could you add a HUD to your cockpits? This one looks good: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/57603?p=1315958&viewfull=1#post1315958

I'm looking forward to new cockpits. TT's Mk.3, SXT Bonny, Ke-111 and Osaul cockpits could use an RPM patch, too.

I had'nt seen this prop - downloading now, and having a look, perhaps will make into an optional addition if the mod is installed.

Any update?

Busy with work and RL at the moment, I did receive a request to work on an IVA for a fellow modder, I'm starting that work and will update the thread with WIP, etc.

I'm having a little issue where I'm getting all of the wonderful RPM monitors and ALCOR props in the SP+ cockpit, but they're placed on top of the default fake screens

Hey there,

The SPP stock pit screens aren't props unfortunately, part of the model as far as I can tell, so I had to place my IVA configs over them. Are you seeing any clipping or anything like that?

Hey guys,

quick update, Im starting to work on a new IVA, this time for the KP0110 wonderful pod by Ledenko!

WIP Album:

Javascript is disabled. View full album

Note: This pod will feature an RPM config, although I might consider doing a more analog type of IVA to keep with the Apollo like look. Time permitting. :P

I'm not seeing clipping, but your screenshots of the SPP pit show the screens completely covered by RPM props and no longer visible.

When I look at them in game I can see the edges of a few of them.

I can get a screenshot later.

Okay, I have a screenshot

This is what it looks like for me

And this is what its supposed to look like

Awww - makes perfect sense now. You are missing a prop, "AKIShortPlate" that should be in the mod folder, can you confirm that this file exists?

GameData\AKI\ModifiedIVA\Props\AKIShortPlate.cfg

Also, if you exit the game after that, can you look into the last lines in the KSP.log (during the flight scene) and look for any errors loading that model. You can also just zip the .log, and let me know where to get it, and I can have a look.

Awesome mod! Just keep doing what you do!

You're making all cockpits look as good as alcor, soon i won't be using any third person cam anymore xD who cares about planets when your cockpit looks as good as this xD

Thanks mate!

Nice...

Anyone tried a direct comparison of this vs Hyomoto's MFD? If so, a comparative review?

Hyomoto's MFD changes how the MFD looks and functions. This mod is a pack of configs to change the placement of instruments inside the cockpit. They're both perfectly compatible; use both at the same time.

Cool; will do.

The one thing that most gets me in the basic RPM IVA is the VSI; it's tiny, poorly placed and unlit. This looks to be a strong improvement in that respect. Keeping the most essential instruments at the top of the dashboard means you can see 'em while still being able to look out the windows.

I have the exact same issue, and I can confirm that I have that file.

Hi Redbiertje,

Please help me troubleshoot this, my prop is based on an ALCOR asset, and in it's config (located in /GameData/AKI/ModifiedIVA/Props/) there should a MODEL node within it:

model = ASET_Props_1.0.2/ASET_Props/Misc/SwitchFlatPanelShort/SwitchFlatPanelShort

Can you confirm that the model path above is valid and a file named SwitchFlatPanelShort.mu is in that path (ASET_Props_1.0.2/ASET_Props/Misc/SwitchFlatPanelShort/SwitchFlatPanelShort.mu)

Let me know, thanks.

P.S. I have tried to reproduce it, but was not able to - if you can send me the link of your latest KSP.log containing at least one flight with the cockpit.

Thanks for using ModifiedIVA! That was one of my biggest concerns, trying to get a sort of "steam six" type of layout with the analogs. I'm glad you find it useful.

In the following link, you can find the props folder that I found at GameData/AKI/ModifiedIVA, and it contains a copy of my ksp.log file, where I made one single flight with a craft named 'JoolJet'. (which ended in a crash btw.)

--------

FIXED IT! you had the right guess. It says model = ASET_Props_1.0.2/ASET_Props/... But when downloading the ASET props pack, it just gives a folder named ASET_Props. There is also an image on the ASET page that says that ASET_Props should be in a folder named ASET. So I just made a folder called 'ASET' in my GameData, and dumped ASET_Props in there. So I now changed the model to model = ASET/ASET_Props/... and that completely fixed it. Thank you very much!

Glad to hear you fixed your issue - that folder path should have been correct, not sure why your ASET zip extracts without "ASET_Props_1.0.2" as the root folder. I will have to test a little further and see if I can perhaps set the paths to something more specific.

As Redbiertje as said your file is wrong the path should be ASET/ASET_Props you have

MODEL

{

model = ASET_Props_1.0.2/ASET_Props/Instruments/DigitalIndicator/DigitalIndicator <---------- This ones wrong path

model = ASET_Props/Instruments/DigitalIndicator/DigitalIndicator <----- And this one shouldn't they be the same path anyway ?

}

EDIT- Great Job By the way do you plan on doing more ? If so be really great to have RPM's in The Dragon 2 :Dhttp://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/29388-LazTek-SpaceX-Launch-Pack-2-3-52-and-Exploration-Expansion-1-52-23-5-%286-2-14%29

EDIT- That looks like it's sounds bad but didn't mean it in a bad way.
