How do YOU launch?

You know, I actually never put much thought into it. Its kinda muscle memory for me. I don't use launch clamps often but they usually end up in the first engine stage. Usually I just kinda think T Z SPACEEEEEE. So yeah.  Lets light this candle.

I kind of wish that, maybe once a year, the forum admin would run a script that automatically locked all threads that hadn't received a new post in over a year.

As annoying as pontless necros can be, I would hate to lose all possibility of actually justified resurrection.

Oh what the hell...

  1. Activate SAS
  2. Ignite engines
  3. Increase throttle to max (with shift)
  4. Release clamps

Launch it Shuttle style (said with Gangnam Style accent)! I usually do that when I have SRBs. Light liquid engines, throttle up, then light SRBs and release clamps as one stage

1. press Z and fire engines

2. wait 2 seconds

3. release clamps (and ignite SRB's if on rocket)

I simply do that for realism

Oh, me too, sometimes.

Well, I've been playing a lot of Realism Overhaul lately, so I need a ~3 second hold-down on all my launches to give my engines time to spool up. In stock, though, I start the engines and release the clamps in the same stage. The thought of wasting fuel on an unnecessary hold-down pains my inner efficiency-obsessed nut.
