[1.2.2] Realistic Progression Zero (RP-0) - Lightweight RealismOverhaul career v0.53 June 12

I have just downloaded the latest RP-0 release which supports 1.0.5 and it seems that everything works fine including every dependencies. I also have RO with all the dependencies. And these are the only mods I installed on the clean installation of KSP. But when I started a new career I saw a bunch of parts in the starting tech node and all of them are "Not supported by RP-0". So I looked at the hangar trying to build a rocket, but all of the parts are not supported, also all the parts in the tech tree are not supported too... Is this a bug or it's fixable somehow? I couldn't find any information on this. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I posted this on the RO thread but i should better have posted it here:

The patch that is used to make the parts compatible with RP-0 is created only when a new update is released (named "Tree.cfg"). So if you downloaded the .zip from GitHub, then the file doesn't exist but you can copy the file from a previous installation or get it from the latest official release.

Thank you! Seems that it worked. But there's still some stock parts which are not supported. Should I use them while I play or I should try to avoid them? Even Drill-o-Matic and scanner parts are not supported. Is there some alternatives now or I may use them at some point? Sorry for dumb questions, but it's my first time using these realism mods which are still overwhelming for me... :D

I see, thank you. :) One more question... I just researched a few tech trees and noticed that not all items appeared in the building hangar. For example I can't find Univ.  Storage (DMagic item), which combines barometer, termometer and geiger counter into one unit. Also I can not find the Procedural Diameter Upgrade(I have no idea what it used for tho...). Both items seems to be supported by RO and RP.

The Universal Storage DMagic instruments are not supported from Realism Overhaul (and therefore, from RP-0) but we should make some RO configs for them.

The "Procedural Diameter Upgrade" is nothing more than a virtual part to indicate that an upgrade for the Procedural Parts is available. It just increases the minimum sizes of the PP tanks available. Something similar is also used by the Procedural Fairings.

When i install RP-0 all the parts say non RP-0? When i look at some youtube videos i can also see that alot of my part in the beginning are different. Some are missing others i have extra. Can someone explain to me why this might be? For example: i start with AJ10 engines and have a mk1 command pod. I think i might be missing a mod that changes the tech tree.

Please refer to the posts above from @Phineas Freak and myself, they explain how you need to get the tree.cfg file if you are installing from source. You basically get it from older releases or compile it from source tree.ymll

Is there a way to deal with World First Milestones? Can I delete them and not get my game harmed?

@NathanKell could give further details, but this is currently a known bug that was not solved yet. What I've been doing is editing the save file to remove the money I earn. Nothing to be done for science and prestige though (at least not as straightforward to someone who doesn't know so well how the save file works like myself).

The mod is not up on CKAN yet, no. We are still waiting on TAC Life Support by @TaranisElsu. However, there is a preview release of RP-0 if you want to install manually. You will need to install the TACLS for 1.0.4 and the Deadly Reentry release candidate.

I am not sure why the world firsts are not being disabled properly; I will check for typos and then see if there's soemthing else I'm missing.

Is TACLS actually being updated? There doesn't seem to be much activity in its forums or GitHub...

So i referred to your posts and decided to look for Tree.yml. Found immediatly in the RP-0 master file from source. Now if i understand this right i have to compile the Tree.yml file to a Tree.cfg file or get it from earlier versions? Do i then replace the Tree.yml file or just add it?

I tried it and it seems to work perfectly. Thx a lot @leudaimon

Nice! Actually there is a working preview-release version already compiled in github (v0.41). AFAIK it's similar to the master branch and works fine on 1.0.5.

We don't have enough control over the stock system to do that. It'd be nice, yes, but we need to have control over every milestone's situation and reward. :)

I assumed that it is a tricky thing, but I just thought that I could mention it. I am always following this thread because I really love RO and RP-0!

Your work is really amazing!

I've come to a problem where I cant use the RCS's... I tried filling the tanks with different fuels and still no luck. Even the RCSAid shows that the RCS units have 0 dV. I've opened the GUI and bought all available fuels, tried to fill up the tanks with them and yet no luck. Maybe someone have some suggestions?

EDIT: After some testing I just noticed that as soon as I enable RCS, it just drains all of the Nitrogen, if I use IJKLHN it drains more quickly but I can not see any RCS effects nor feel the thrust... It just drains the fuel but do not actually give me any thrust and control...

The problem is that I cannot control my vessel unless the engines are running, so I cant fire in the right direction... I thought I would use RCS but they do not work too.

Last time I took 9000L and I was just watching how it disappears at ~200l/second, if I press IJLHN it starts to drain it for ~500l/s, but I get no thrust or RCS effects and the vessel goes in the straigth line anyway even if I turn off all of my engines. Did a lot of testing with it and I'm sure that RCS just do not work, it just drains the fuel. :(

Is it possible that your ship is just too large, and you don't notice the force of the thrusters? The particle effect for the exhaust is very hard to notice (After all it's just some compressed air), and it's only making something like 50 newtons of force, so it's easy to not notice.

I'm trying the 1.0.5 test build and it seems to work fine except the only probe I start out with is the Guidance Unit (Starting), 1m, which obviously is 1m in diameter(or radius??). This presents a slight problem when the only engine is the 0.3m Aerobee. Also, the core allows control of a rocket up to 20 tons, which seems too OP for the first rocket and anachronistic for what is supposed to be late 40s -early 50s.  In total, all I have in the pods tab is the Bonanza Cabin, Heinkel He-111 Cockpit, Junkers Ju-87 Cockpit, and the 1m Probe Core. Where is the 0.3m Sounding Rocket Core from 1.0.4? Am I missing something?
