Before I didn't care, but at present I'm finding a Level 1 Engineer more useful than a Level 1 Scientist, because I'd gladly pay 5% Science for fixing the wheels or repacking the parachutes. So I pick Bill.

I like Bill, I always imagined his "stupidity" in a Daffy Duck sort of way, rather than just outright ignorance more like smart but not clever.

Everyone would always choose Jeb because he is awesome, so that is why I didn't include him.

I choose Bill, because he seems like the guy who knows his stuff, but gets a little nervous at launch time. He's certainly no Jebediah, but he doesn't share Bob's wide-eyed terror 24/7.

Of course, I tend to delete the Big Three at the beginning of my saves now; I find it more fun to give personalities to brand-new kerbals, rather than the same old ones we've had for a while.

bob because in my universe, Bob is on the Ill-fated KIR station and is on a SSTO shuttle docked with it when it's thruster system goes haywire while docking a Majiship-k3 (soyuz), and it enters the atmosphere and starts burning up, while Bob quickly undocks and attempts to manuever far away from the station. when the reentryheating stopped, a piece of the station that survived hit the shuttle, and it exploded, wile Bob quickly ditchedand parachuted to safety. based on true story.

when i was docking my experimetal explorer SSTO shuttle to a smaller station that actually exists in my ksp saves called the IKORS, bob was in it, and the thruster system actually went haywire, and i quickly randomly burned to prevent damageing the station and then turned off RCS. i then realized that the suicide burn had gave me a periapsis of 30 km, and i did not have any LFO. i used the reaction wheels orient the shuttle for entry, and then i realized we would be landing on the ocean. i glided near a island, but then i realized that the electric charge and monoprop ran out and i couldnt keep the nose up, and bob ditched while shuttle crashed into the side of the island.

I like Bill due to the fact that he can fix Jebs mess and keep him flying. He has also done some very crazy adventuring. (spent years in orbit after a hell kraken attack on Duna and messed about with the wreckage for starters)

Also I just don't like Bob for whatever reason...
