RCS constantly translates forward

Anybody ever hear of this one? While maneuvering to dock, my RCS system turned on forward translation and will not turn it off. I checked all mechjeb options, turned everything off, checked that I had no nodes set. Hit "R". Constant forward translation. Disabled RCS quads one at a time. Re-enabled. Hit "R". Constant forward translation.

RESTARTED game. Hit "R". Constant forward translation.

Anybody ever hear of this? What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you set trim to forward. Are the indicators in the lower left of the screens blue? If they are you have accidentally set trim.

Press Alt+X to reset your trim settings.

Check your throttle. I think mechjeb automatically links it to RCS.

If the indicators are blue that is fine control, not trim. You can toggle fine control with caps lock.

Dodgey has it right. Cut your throttle; if no engines are activated, throttle controls RCS forward translation so that you can use it as a last-mile emergency thruster.

I had RCS issues when using a gamepad for input.

Every time I started KSP I had to reconfigure the analog sticks and any time I was in Stage mode with RCS on, it would flip the ship around like crazy, even with no input and SAS enabled.

I stopped using the gamepad and the issue went poof.

I think the problem is with RCSFix that comes with Realism Overhaul, I remember reading somewhere that there are two versions of it, one that makes RCS do that when on full throttle, the other that doesn't.

Sometimes in KSP as well as Minecraft, I get my keys "stuck" where I press, say, W in Minecraft and keep walking forward and it won't stop until I press W again, kinda like toggle instead of hold to go forward
