As a proof of concept it's pretty neat. But as it stands now it's more a plate dropper than a plate flinger.

Perhaps more wheels and something to stop the plate from falling out may result in an actual fling.

Umm, I kinda think it needs moaw boosters. With just a few tweaks I think we could get the plate into orbit...

In my opinion you just made a Master in Kerbal advanced engineering technology.
You deserve all my rep, congrats. Your plate flinger is a very usefull tool to ... well... errrm... yeah doing the thing that it actually does.

This isn't to show off the plate flinger, the plate flinger was made to show off the new wheel physics in 1.1

I moved the post as it was somewhere it shouldn't have been, and Mad Rocket Scientists Dev team badge is for a mod team.

I'm pretty sure the vid is showing 1.0.5 wheels.

Impressive! Especially that you were able to catch it multiple times and toss it again.

I am not easily impressed by what people build in KSP but this is one of the rare exceptions.

If you try to make one, make sure to timewarp after you decouple the object-to-be-flung, or the wheels won't grab it.
