  1. My apologies kind sir. I do completely agree with you on that one, I should have been more clear. All I'm saying is that while there has been an improvement, they aren't quite out of the woods yet. I wish them all the best in a speedy 0.3.0 release!
  2. Since it seems fairly obvious that the powers that be making KSP2 are only paying us lip-service by saying they want our suggestions, I figured I'd open a thread so that players can have their suggestions actually listened to and discussed, and hopefully we can get some modders in here to make your suggestions happen! Unfortunately, I have some errands to run, but when I get back, I'll get the ball rolling with some of my suggestions. Have a great day everyone, and try not to lose too much hope regarding KSP2 development, we can still make OUR game! Also, I have a video coming up on my channel where I have a reply to Nate's recent interview. www.youtube.com/@chrismacbean Enjoy!
  3. I don't blame you one bit. We have had our disagreements, but its sad to see you so frustrated you have to step away. Hope you find some inner peace! While I agree with the spirit of what you are saying, I do very much hope we don't have to wait for 1.0 for more optimizations.
  4. Nah, there are many more with over double my playtime. Unfortunately with the direction KSP2 is going, they are not keeping people like us around. KSP2 seems like its going to be a dumbed-down version of KSP1. I'm trying to keep the KSP1 spirit alive as much as I can with my channel. I just started it, but I hope to have a video a day once I'm up an running. As to the life after death? No, its Perma-Death for my Kerbals. I probably have as many rescue missions under my belt as regular missions lol. I might have a high playtime, but that doesn't mean I was an expert the entire time...far from it actually! Anyways, feel free to ask me anything about the game. This invitation is open to everybody. I want to actually listen to what the community wants KSP2 to be so we can compare and contrast with how its actually shaping up! Have a good one, everybody
  5. Unfortunately not. In regular play, you may not encounter many bugs, but I made an 11 minute cinematic and about 1/4 of the time or 50 hours was spent dealing with bugs. This game cannot load the same save more than like 5 times before the craft comes out all krakened. Its clear this game has not been playtested to any reasonable standard. I have a hunch the QA team is a revolving door, since it must be demoralizing to be forced to put out a product that does not meet your personal standards.
  6. Yeah, its a painful blow to the gut isn't it? Betrayed by the one you thought was your friend in this sea of Activision/Blizzard and the mess going on with Sweet Baby, etc. The only reason I'm sticking around is to stick it to them. I know we collectively have a better idea of how the game should go forward and I'm gonna prove it to them. I know how to video edit and I don't have anything better to do until September when my college course starts up. This one catches on Quick! I'll have to keep my eye on you.
  7. Welcome! I have over 10,000 hours in KSP. Lots of marathon sessions 18+ hours, and many great memories! I've got a youtube channel If you'd like to check it out. Just getting started, but I'be got big plans. https://www.youtube.com/@chrismacbean Cheers, have a good one!
  8. Hear, hear! Lol, they are tricking you. they don't give two excrements what we think. They have it all "planned out" already
  9. Oh heavens to Betsy, we forgot all about the thread where they joked about putting imperial units in KSP. Quick everyone, we must finish that riveting debate! Seriously though, the thread isn't derailed so much as the topic is now something YOU do not wan't to talk about. No, they are telling you that you think something is fixed because you have not seen the cracks yet. They have been very patient trying to explain it to people in this thread. It is not a difficult concept to grasp. Why do people think the burden of proof is on the poster who went and did reserach on the topic, and not the poster who reads the post and goes "I don't believe you. I haven't looked, but you sound wrong." What about imperial tons? Back to topic and all that. (I know it wasn't you who mentioned getting back to topic, I'm just making a bad joke)
  10. I understand where you are coming from, The Aziz, people should direct their complaints to the appropriate departments, but the issue is there are so many complaints, it is useless attempting to delegate them. Its a "whole game" problem that needs the dev team to come together and really decide what they want to do with this game. Is it an arcade-y game for kids that will inspire kids to play video games or a proper simulation akin to MSFS that allows players to do whatever they want and inspire people to work in the aerospace field? One has a legacy, one has more money up front. This is Take Two we are talking about. They already killed GTA for money. Everyone who made those games what they are have left the studio.
  11. Seriously! And its even worse that NASA basically gave it to them as well!
  12. You are spot on, buddy! Take Two or wherever the buck stops does not understand that showing warts and taking care of them is how you build trust and a loyal fanbase. Instead, they seem to want to build a fanbase out of anyone they can before the next quarterly earnings report and can't understand why the fairweather fans ditch the game after they played with the gridfins and insta-scienceTM, and then hit the sheer cliff face of a learning curve with the curated missions. I mean I have thousands of hours in the game so I could do them, but if they expect the kids* to do them? I've seen some of the stuff they've come up with. Looks like the stuff I made when I was just getting into KSP. Like before I learned how to rendezvous or go interplanetary. I gotta hand it to anyone who is less than a thousand hours into the game and is making it through some of these missions! Then, other missions are totally phoned in; toss some wheels on a probe core, load the game, don't touch a thing, SCIENCE! Its one step away from the underpants gnomes from South Park for crying out loud! Lol, I'll stop, its not even 8:00am on a Monday morning. There was a beautiful sunrise here today, pics to come when I get a chance. *I say this as a term of endearment. Like how rock bands call thier fans "the kids," I'm referring to all the people who are just noticing KSP2 as "the kids"
  13. Why do you think that because a totally separate studio from IG can do something, IG can do something? I mean of course its possible to be competent in game development. And don't take that to mean me saying I believe the devs are incompetent, I believe they are barking up the wrong tree so to speak for what will make KSP2 a success.
  14. How is Elon gonna stay fat without mars steaks? The man clearly loves a good cut of meat Yeah, but all the mass will be concentrated at the bottom with a combination of the engines and fuel to make the centre of gravity low enough that the danger of a tip-over is minimized.
  15. Check out this video I found. This guy cleverly included the parachute bug as a "found by the roadside"-esque defective part: And seriously, this "early access" is just "access" to a broken game as it stands. As you said, there are tons of good suggestions, but all they want is people to find their bugs for free. Don't get me started on the font. I mean I'd go for comic sans at this point!
  16. Thats what the water and the liquid nitrogen is for. Water...for water and also oxygen and hydrogen, and the liquid nitrogen is to cool our beverages on the trip inside the cybertruck. If there are only Kerbal SnacksTM I swear I'm out right now. Or wait, lets see if Elon would let us put some meat out by the gridfins, so at staging we get some nice barbecue action going. Actually, we could probably rig up a purpose-built gridfin cooker. We're already dealing with titanium so its not like the mass will be huge. Seriously screw space food. Like if we are going interplanetary, we gotta have at least coach airline food or something. Nine months of babyfood? I don't mind pooping in a bag if need be, but gimme something good to poop out, lol
  17. Comedy gold! [snip] I just dropped a couple comments. I, relatively-speaking, exploded the postcount, lol! Seriously! Like maybe we need to use drones to write it in the sky above their offices or something? Pirate broadcasts during their zoom calls "We demand an update! We don't care if you say you guys hit a roadblock. That is an answer, it will satisfy us. Not the shareholders, but seriously? Tell them that computer games don't happen in a couple of quarters and to get their knickers untwisted. I'm sick of this corporate steamrolling of the trajectory of this game! I'm obviously not the only one. Like its clear you guys don't bother listening to the criticisms begin tossed your way. You need to hear it. If you are doing a bad job, we want you to do better, we aren't sitting here trying to make fun of you. Like c'mon, are you guys professionals? Cuz all I see is a vidja game version of the 737 MAX Hindenburg of a gong show. This is just sad. Again, feel free to snip, Vanamonde. I got it off my chest and the screenshot to show my friends to laugh.
  18. I absolutely adore how this was posted release day and here we are over a year later and absolutely nothing has changed. We got an update about how eclipses are cool and how they kinda don't work in KSP2 at the moment. So there's that. I mean if you guys have hit a roadblock that requires attention that is delaying colonies, just tell us, we will understand. Oh wait, I forgot. Shareholders won't stand for not hitting quarterly earnings. Who cares about the legacy of the game, we have a stock price to keep up!
  19. @Dakota I told you this would be the reaction.
  20. I finished up a cinematic I've been working on and started testing for my new project.
  21. Glad to hear it! We aren't a bunch of raving lunatics with pitchforks and torches even though it seems like it at times...we just want a decent KSP2. I totally agree that at times, the whining can be a bit much, but its a symptom of players feeling like their concerns are falling on deaf ears. *Cough cough* Community Managers, it would go a long way to hint at what might be coming. Like not a full update or anything just" oh, I hear they might be working on this...no promises, just testing, but the are considering it" Communication is easy. I think you guys think we want like a proper update as if we are Take Two shareholders wondering why we are losing money, when all we want is to not feel like some red-headed step child compared to dischord and reddit, etc. Also @Dakota I repeatedly call you out to just deal with me square and you won't even give me the courtesy of a reply saying "Aplogies, but I'm swamped with work, I'll reply when I get a chance" but no, you reply to other people who posted thoughts after I posted mine. I've been waiting patiently, knowing you are swamped and Mike is just getting back, so there is gonna be a handoff time...All I get from you is claims you always deal with me square, then radio silence. As I said in another thread I can be the biggest pain in your side or a model member of the community, its your choice whether you want to act like a child or an adult about this. All I ask is for some common decency and courtesy. You are a community Manager, I am a member of the Community. Manage me, don't ignore me because you don't want to deal with me. I don't like saying what I'm about to say, but I'm 39 and I've already had 3 careers. I've been around the block and I can tell you that RESPECT gets you places in life, ghosting me gets you right on my crap list. Again, ball is in your court. Are you gonna treat me like an adult or a child? Have a great night, I hope you guys are getting caught up. I appreciate what you do around here even though it probably doesn't seem like it, keep up the good work! You impressed me by keeping your cool when you were the only hand on deck, Dakota. I don't hate you. We just have a misunderstanding here. I'll go away almost instantly as soon as you treat me with courtesty, and I will treat you the same way in kind, deal? I hope so, I really don't like fighting with you. We are both here cuz we love this game.
